Introduction  \nThe first introduction to learning English as a foreign language lays the foundation for further language learning that can have long-term implications for academic and professional development. At this stage, students begin to develop basic language skills. They are introduced to simpler grammar, text, and  \nvocabulary, as well as strategies for reading, writing, listening, and speaking in English. Vocabulary is an important aspect of foreign language learning, especially at the beginning of English language learning. The purpose of learning vocabulary is to help students master the four basic language skills of the target language. According to Nation and Waring (1997), high school students must achieve mastery of 2500-3000 words to meet the requirements of university-level studies. Moreover, students must continue to acquire additional vocabulary in order to achieve in their academic endeavors.In order to enhance pupils' vocabulary, it is imperative for them to possess a well-defined vocabulary acquisition approach. Effective vocabulary acquisition tactics are crucial for students' linguistic progress in acquiring a foreign language, since they facilitate the comprehension of unknown terms.  \n.According to Oxford, Nation, O'Malley, and Chamot (1990), it is strongly advised that students utilize vocabulary acquisition methodologies in order to effectively acquire the target language.
