As we mark 30 Years of Democracy, PanSALB had a historic opportunity to showcase our services and products to the 7th Administration, a first in our institution’s history. We were honored to outline Chapter 1 of the Constitution to Members of Parliament, emphasising the promotion and development of officiallanguages, including Khoe and San languages. \nIn July, we collaborated with the African Languages Association of Southern Africa (ALASA) and the University of KwaZulu-Natal to host the 20th ALASA conference. This conference shone a spotlight on literature in African Languages, highlighting the crucial role of academia in the development of indigenous African languages. Moreover, our partnership with the University of the Free State to commemorate 200 Years of Basotho \nfurther underscores our commitment to the development and preservation of indigenous African languages. \nThroughout September's Deaf Awareness Month Campaign, we concentrated on raising awareness about South African Sign Language and Deaf Culture on our social media platforms. Our objective was to promote a better understanding of SASL as a language in its own right. If you missed this initiative, we encourage you to explore our social media feeds for more information. \nAs September also marks Heritage Month, we take pride in honouring our rich cultural heritage by actively promoting, developing, and embracing our diverse languages. We are excited to share our engaging and informative 2nd quarter newsletter with you, showcasing our commitment to celebrating and preserving our cultural heritage year-round. \nThroughout September's Deaf Awareness Month Campaign, we concentrated on raising awareness about South African Sign Language and Deaf Culture on our social media platforms.
