Based on proceedings from the Early Islamic Studies Seminar (EISS), the book explores methodological issues and multiple dimensions of early Islam and the Qur’an, including historical, literary, social, political, and religious contexts. It analyzes questions of source transmission, cross-comparative threads, and Late Antique backgrounds, featuring contributions that investigate themes such as Qur’anic theology, inscriptions, and communal identity within the Medinan community.","The Study of Islamic Origins \nJudaism, Christianity, and Islam – Tension, Transmission, Transformation \nEdited by Patrice Brodeur, Alexandra Cuffel, Assaad Elias Kattan, and Georges Tamer \nVolume 15 \nThe Study of Islamic Origins \nNew Perspectives and Contexts \nEdited by Mette Bjerregaard Mortensen, \nGuillaume Dye, Isaac W .
