They called their country the land of Israel.  \nBecause Caleb was obedient to God all his life, God told Joshua to give Caleb a town within the territory given to the tribe of Judah. He gave Caleb the town of Hebron.  \nThey placed the Tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, in the town of Shiloh. At Shiloh, the leaders met to decide how to divide the land of Israel.  \nThey did not give the Levites any new territory in Israel. Instead, they gave the Levites 48 cities for their homes and pastures.  \nThe leaders also decided which six cities became Cities of Refuge.
