So he escaped from King Saul's men and went to the town of Ramah, where the prophet Samuel lived. But Saul soon learned where David was.  \nSo David left Ramah and went to Jonathan, Saul’s son, to ask for help. At first, Jonathan did not believe that his father would harm David.  \nFinally, David convinced Jonathan that Saul had not kept his promise and was planning to kill him.  \nThen David and Jonathan made a plan. The next day there was a feast and King Saul was expecting David to eat with him.  \nAt the feast, Saul sat in his usual place, close to the wall, and Jonathan sat across from him. But David was not in his place. He was hiding in a nearby field waiting for Jonathan to come and tell him what Saul was planning to do. Saul said nothing about David that night.  \nAgain, the next night, David did not come to the feast.
