Jonah loved God and told people about God. \nBut God had another job for Jonah. He said,“Jonah, go and tell the people of Nineveh about me. I love them. I want them to love me.” \n“No,” said Jonah.“I don’t like them. They are bad people. I \nwon’t go.” \nSo, Jonah ran away. He ran away from God. He got on a boat going away fron Nineveh. \n“Now I’m safe,” said Jonah.“God can’t see me now. I won’t have to go to Nineveh.” \nBut God sent a big storm. The boat was going to sink. The sailors threw things into the sea but that didn’t help. \nThe storm grew worse and worse. \n“Help,” said the sailors.“Can God save us?” \nJonah was asleep. \nThe sailors woke him up.“Help us. Pray to your God to \n” \nsave us. \n“But I am running away from God,” said Jonah.\"Please help us,\" said the sailors. \"What can we do to stop \nthe storm?\" \n“It is my fault,” said Jonah.“Throw me into the sea and the \nstorm will stop.” \n“No, we can’t do that,” said the sailors. \nBut the storm grew worse and worse. \nSo, the sailors threw Jonah into the sea. \nThe storm stopped at once. \n\"Now we know that Jonah's God is God,\" said the sailors. \nJonah didn’t die in the sea. God sent a big fish to swallow him. He was in the dark tummy of the fish for \n3 days. \n“Thank you, God,” said Jonah.“I am sorry for running away. Now I will do what you say.” \nThen the fish spat Jonah onto dry land.","cbCaitaZAognYOOp","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaitaZAognYOOp","pdf",918988,16,"English","en",105,"# Jonah refuses God\n# The storm and Jonah’s choice\n# The big fish and new beginning","[{\"question\":\"Why does Jonah refuse God’s request?\",\"answer\":\"Jonah dislikes the people of Nineveh and doesn’t want to go tell them about God.\"},{\"question\":\"How are the sailors able to stop the storm?\",\"answer\":\"Jonah says it is his fault and asks to be thrown into the sea, and the storm stops at once.\"},{\"question\":\"What happens to Jonah after God sends the big fish?\",\"answer\":\"The fish swallows Jonah, and after three days it spits him onto dry land.
