The story details God's command to Jonah to preach in Nineveh, Jonah's disobedience and attempt to flee, his boarding of a ship, and the subsequent terrifying storm sent by God. The sailors cast lots, revealing Jonah as the cause of their plight, prompting them to question him about his identity and the reason for the divine wrath. The narrative emphasizes themes of obedience, divine judgment, and the consequences of defying God's will, rendered in a simplified style suitable for young audiences. So one day God spoke to a man named Jonah and said,“Jonah, I want you to go and preach to the people in Nineveh.” \nBut Jonah did not obey God. He decided to runaway from God so he would not have to go and preach in Nineveh. \nJonah went to the harbour and found a ship that would take him to another country. He paid the captain for the journey and went onto the ship. \nWhen the ship had sailed away from land, God made the wind blow very strong. A terrible storm hit the ship and everyone was afraid it would sink. \nThe captain of the ship found Jonah in the bottom of the ship sound asleep! “Jonah, wake up” he said,“The ship is about to sink! Get up and pray to your god. Maybe he will \n” \nsave us. \nThe sailors cast lots to see who was to blame for this terrible storm. This told them that Jonah was to blame so they asked him,“Who are you and why is this happening to us?”","cbCaivqn7P75IxjR","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaivqn7P75IxjR","pdf",3837704,1,28,"English","en",105,"# Jonah\n## In Bible times Nineveh was a big city.\n## But Jonah did not obey God.\n## Jonah went to the harbour and found a ship that would take him to another country.\n## When the ship had sailed away from land, God made the wind blow very strong.\n## The captain of the ship found Jonah in the bottom of the ship sound asleep!\n## The sailors cast lots to see who was to blame for this terrible storm.","[{\"question\":\"Who is the author of the story of Jonah?\",\"answer\":\"The story of Jonah is by Gordon W.
