Then they returned to Capernaum. Soon everyone realized that Jesus was home again.  \nMany people gathered at the house where he was staying. The crowd soon filled the house with people. Then no more people could get inside. They even filled the doorway.  \nIn the house, Jesus was teaching and preaching God's Word to the people who had come.  \nAmong the crowd were Pharisees and religious teachers who had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem to listen to Jesus.  \nFour men came to the house carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. But they could not take the man inside the house to Jesus because of the crowd.  \nSo they carried the man up the outside steps onto the flat roof.
