Many people repented from their sins, and then John baptized them in the Jordan River.  \nMatthew 3:5-6; Mark 1:5; Luke 3:3  \nJesus came from the region called Galilee to the Jordan River for John to baptize him. But John objected and said,“I need you to baptize me! So why are you coming to me?”  \nMatthew 3:13-14; Mark 1:9  \nJesus answered John,“It is right to do this because this is what God wants.” So John baptized Jesus.  \nMatthew 3:15  \nAs Jesus came up from the water, the sky opened. Then the Spirit of God came down like a dove and landed on him. And a voice from heaven said,“This is my Son, and I love him.
