She tells the others about a new disease called corona or COVID-19 .  \nRose says, \"This new disease is spreading all over the world. It feels like some other diseases we have had for a long time . You may have a fever, a dry cough, a runny nose, asore throat, a headache or muscle aches . Or, maybe you suddenly can’t smell or taste food anymore . \"  \nJane responds, \"I don’t believe that there is a new disease . We have had these kinds of diseases all the time . \"  \nRose explains, \"Some people don’t get very ill from this new disease, but others get very very ill, and some die . People with heart disease, lung disease, diabetes or obesity are more likely to get very ill from corona . But even young people in good health can get seriously ill. Therefore we all need to be careful.  \nThe best thing is to try to avoid getting ill. Our health services are already reminding us of this . \"  \nRose says, \"This is what they tell us:  \nWash your hands regularly with soap and water .  \nDon’t greet people by shaking their hand.  \nAvoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.  \nStay away from large groups of people .  \nWear a mask when you are with others not in your household.  \nDon't get too close to other people . Keep a distance of two big steps between you, especially when you are inside a building. \"  \nThe women realize that many of them are not following these instructions yet.  \nBut Jane doesn’t like what she hears . She says, \"But this is not our way of doing things! I don’t believe that this sickness exists . I went to a wedding yesterday, and there were so many people! I shook everybody’shand, of course! How can you not shake people’s hand!
