The end of formal secondary schooling for the year 12 students of 2024. We have watched each young person grow and develop into the lovely young people they are today. We wish them every success for the exam period and for their life beyond secondary school.  \nCohuna Secondary College  \nChild Safe contact is the Principal  \nIf you believe a child is at immediate risk of abuse phone 000.  \nOn Monday, students began their day by arriving at school dressed up in their costumes and that’s when the fun really began. The ‘Amazing Race’ around town yielded numerous items to be brought back to me. We sincerely thank our local traders and community for their generous support of this event and allowing our young people to ‘tick off’ items on their checklist. Students, parents and staff enjoyed a BBQ lunch, followed by the annual staff vs student basketball game where the umpiring was non-existent! Who won? I wouldn’t like to say ☺ I’d like to thank Sharon Payne for her organisation of a day filled with making lovely memories to end 13 years of schooling.  \nNow it is down to the very serious end of business. The first exam for students is English and takes place next Tuesday 29th October. I strongly encourage all the Year 12 students to continue to come in and work with their teachers, whether that is seeking one on one help, completing practice exams, revision of key concepts or just a general debrief and calming session.  \nSchool Sport Victoria State Track and Field Championships  \nOlivia made it to the state level after winning the regionals for both discus and shotput. She won a bronze medal for discus and silver medal for shotput. Olivia is an example of a young person who:  \na) set a goal for herself  \nb) persisted in following through on her goal and  \nc) was determined, kept going, even when things were tough!  \nCongratulations Olivia we are very proud of you.  \nExcellamus - Let Us Excel!
