I began my teaching journey at St Patrick’s School as an English Literature teacher, before serving as a Sports and Games Advisor with PSOEB, MOE HQ, overseeing \nsports and games programmes to drive sporting excellence in Singapore schools. I then served as Subject Head for English Literacy and ALP-IPW at Xishan Primary School, strengthening literacy practices and interdisciplinary learning alongside fellow teachers. Over the past two years, I was seconded to the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) as an Assistant Director, overseeing strategic communications, media operations, and partnership engagement, and leading national initiatives such as Go Green SG and climate resilience campaigns with schools, community partners, and stakeholders. \nI have since returned to the school setting and currently serve as Level Head for the English Department at Yu Neng Primary School. I am passionate about building strong literacy foundations, developing student voice, and helping learners make sense of the world through authentic and purposeful experiences, and I look forward to growing together with the Yu Neng community. \nMdm Farhana Zura Binte Abdul Rahman, Teacher \nIt is a pleasure to be part of the Yu Neng Primary School’s dynamic team. I was a former teacher at Opera Estate Primary School and took a career break to raise my family. With my experiences dealing with young children, I decided to pursue my passion again as a CCE & Malay Language \nteacher. It is my goal to nurture a love for the language in every child, and I look forward to learning and growing in the teaching fraternity to create vibrant and meaningful learning experiences for the students. \nMs Zhao YunLuan, Teacher \nHello! I am excited to join the Yu Neng family as the new Chinese Language teacher. This is my first official school posting, and I am grateful for the warm and welcoming environment. I believe this is a wonderful place to begin my educational journey, and I look forward to learning alongside \nmy colleagues and students while contributing to their learning experience. \nMdm Tham Miaw Jeng, Teacher \nHello! My name is Mdm Tham Miaw Jeng, and I am happy to join Yu Neng Primary School as a Mathematics and Science teacher. I previously taught at North View Primary School, where I gained valuable experience working with \nstudents and supporting their learning journey. I look forward to getting to know my students and working together with my colleagues to make learning engaging and meaningful at Yu Neng. \nMsTan Ming Yueh, HOD / Mother Tongue Language \nHi everyone, this is MsTan, or陈明月老师. It is such a pleasure to join Yu Neng Primary School. I currently head the Mother Tongue Language Department and have been teaching Chinese Language for more than twenty years.Throughout my educational journey, I have had the privilege of contributing to \ncurriculum planning at the Ministry of Education and engaging in Monbukagakusho Scholarship research on Teacher Education, with a focus on strengthening students’ language proficiency and supporting teachers’professional growth. \nThe name Yu Neng Primary resonates with my personal philosophy of“培育才能”, nurturing and developing each learner’s potential. I seek to design meaningful, future-ready curricula and programmes that support the MOE Mother Tongue Language mission of nurturing confident communicators, culturally grounded individuals, and engaged learners. Looking ahead, I hope to work with every stakeholder to empower our students to take ownership of their learning through active inquiry, so that they grow into self-directed, reflective, and lifelong learners who value and use their Mother Tongue meaningfully, and thrive in this rapidly evolving world. \nMr","cbCaidiqVR68MQEO","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaidiqVR68MQEO","pdf",16297405,12,"English","# Our Moments\n## Our Story\n## OurJourney\n## Staff Introductions","[{\"question\":\"What is the focus of the publication issue presented here?\",\"answer\":\"It presents staff introductions and personal reflections on teaching philosophies and learning journeys, aligned with building a strong school community.\"},{\"question\":\"Who are some of the educators featured in this issue?\",\"answer\":\"The issue includes educators such as the English Language teacher, Chinese Language teacher, Mathematics and Science teacher, Mother Tongue Language HOD, Music senior teacher, Physical Education teacher, and a Special Education Needs Officer.\"},{\"question\":\"What themes repeatedly appear across the educators’ messages?\",\"answer\":\"Common themes include nurturing language foundations and proficiency, creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences, developing student voice, and partnering with stakeholders to support holistic growth.\"}]","ISSUE 1 - May 202026 - Our Moments, Our Story | PDF",1790823403,18]
