The introduction frames painting as a life metaphor, describing early freedom, the later awkward uncertainty, and the need for surrender, trust, and acceptance of one’s inherent mark. It also emphasizes learning through repetition, community, and art’s capacity to heal and transform. Monthly sections guide step-by-step demos and reflective check-ins across the seasons.","PAINTING \nIntuitive \nPAINTING \nWORKSHOP \nSign up for our free newsletter [at CreateMixedMedia.com](at CreateMixedMedia.com). \nIntuitive \nPAINTING \nWORKSHOP \nTechniques, Prompts \nAND Inspiration FOR A Year OF Painting \nAlenaHenne􀀂y \nCINCINNATI, OHIO \n[www.createmixedmedia.com](www.createmixedmedia.com) \nContents \nIntroduction: \nFor the Love of Painting 6 \nHow to Get the Most out of This Book 8 A Beginner’s Mind 10 \nPainting Through the Seasons 11 \nSuggested Materials 12 \nArt Terms 14 \nJanuary 20 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Paint, Paper & Script Intentions 21 \nMore Inspiration 24 \nFebruary 30 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Loving Expressions 31 More Inspiration 34 \nSpring Check-In 39 \nMarch 40 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Soul Collage 41 More Inspiration 44 \nApril 50 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Bright, Bold & Wild 51 More Inspiration 54 \nMay 60 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Botanical Beauty 61 More Inspiration 64 \nSummer Check-In 69 \nJune 70 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Animal Totem 71 More Inspiration 74 \nJuly 78 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Bewitching Portraits 79 More Inspiration 82 \nAugust 86 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Like a Masterwork 87 More Inspiration 90 \nAutumn Check-In 95 \nSeptember 96 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Flying Fluid & Free 97 More Inspiration 102 \nOctober 106 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Abstract 107 More Inspiration 110 \nNovember 116 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Eastern Influences 117 More Inspiration 120 \nWinter Check-In 125 \nDecember 126 \nStep-by-Step Demo: Holiday Painting 127 More Inspiration 130 \nPainting Montage 134 Contributing Artists 138 Index 140 \nDedication and Acknowledgments 141 About Alena 143 \nFor additional downloads from the book, [go to: CreateMixedMedia.com/IntuitivePaintingWorkshop.](go to: CreateMixedMedia.com/IntuitivePaintingWorkshop. 5)[ 5](go to: CreateMixedMedia.com/IntuitivePaintingWorkshop. 5) \nIntroduction \nFor the of Painting \nI o􀀂en share with my students that painting can be metaphor for how one lives a life. Throughout my years of devoting myself to this fine cra􀀂 , I have \nt that painintiing can be a \nse \nmy \nl f \nf \nbegun to see how there are certain steps to expect in the creative process or when you begin a new work. \nIn the beginning, when you first start a painting, you love it; it’s full of wild possibilities; it’s still open, unquestioned and ready for more a􀀃ention. The work holds freedom; you begin instinctual ly (as we did when we were children), and you allow yourself to create with fewer concepts or expectations. \nThen as more time passes and you go deeper into your process, the doubt comes up from within. You question your decisions; you feel unsure. You may even begin to feel stuck and not clear on how to move forward. \nThe painting has now entered the awkward stage, so you rework, refine and reinstate your intentions for this piece—however you may feel about it. This is a pivotal part of the process and a turning point within intuitive painting. \nAt this point some surrender needs to happen. There needs to be some le􀀃ing go, and ultimately some trust needs to develop. This is when accepting and feeling akin to your inherent mark and visual voice are so valuable. \nYou learn with time to be more comfortable with who you are as an artist. You learn to trust your unique style of mark-making and painterly strokes. \nThis same scenario can play out in life in many ways. A risk is needed to feel unstuck; then breakthrough can take place, followed by more refinement, more details and finally acceptance. A planned painting may take amore strategic and technical approach. With intuitive painting, we feel our way, allowing the painterly marks, colors, lines, shapes and so forth to guide us forward in our creative process. We turn off the thinking rational mind and paint from pure impulse—we feel into the work. This is just how we created when we were children—and I feel there is a truth to be found within that. It’sa process of allowing what comes, to witness our own understanding and to practice it again an","cbCaisu2kvHnfKyb","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaisu2kvHnfKyb","pdf",82707330,1,146,"English","en",105,"# Introduction: For the Love of Painting\n## How to Get the Most out of This Book\n## Painting Through the Seasons\n## Suggested Materials\n## Art Terms\n# January\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# February\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# Spring Check-In\n# March\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# April\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# May\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# Summer Check-In\n# June\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# July\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# August\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# Autumn Check-In\n# September\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# October\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# November\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# Winter Check-In\n# December\n## Step-by-Step Demo\n## More Inspiration\n# Painting Montage\n## Contributing Artists\n## Index\n## Dedication and Acknowledgments\n## About Alena","[{\"question\":\"What does the book mean by intuitive painting?\",\"answer\":\"In intuitive painting, the work progresses through a stage of early love and open possibilities, followed by doubt and feeling stuck.
