Full details for submission are included in the Administrative Support Guide. \n• Any use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) must be clearly referenced. Please see the Art and Design AI Guide for further information. \n• Centres will submit one project for Component 1 from each candidate along with an Authentication Form signed by both the teacher and candidate. \n• The total marks available for Component 1: Personal Portfolio is 72, which covers 50% of the qualification. \n• Please note centres do not mark the work-this will be done by the examining team. \n• As there is no internal assessment for this qualification and it is solely externally assessed, centre work will not be moderated, and centres do not receive a centre moderation report. Instead, centres receive a breakdown of results by assessment objective and component via ResultsPlus on results day. \n• Centres should select the best project that each candidate has produced during the course. This would be one that exemplifies a full ‘work journey’ across a sustained line of enquiry and provides evidence of all four Assessment Objectives in an integrated and holistic way. \n• The quality of the work is key. Centres should support candidates in their selection of a focussed body of work for submission. This should provide evidence of: \no the progression of their ideas and their work, \no the four assessment objectives, \no drawing appropriate to the discipline and line of enquiry in which they are working, o annotations that use and demonstrate an understanding of the language appropriate \nto that discipline , if included. \n• Written annotation is not required in this specification. However, if it is included, it should be in support of the visual language and artwork rather than in place of. \n• All images submitted must be of reasonable quality, with any annotation readable, so that the examiner can sufficiently view and assess the work submitted. Candidates should not submit multiple pages of work on one slide. \n• Large-scale work should be photographed with a ruler to give an idea of scale. Also, three-dimensional work should be photographed from different angles. \nExemplars and Training \nCentres will find it useful to refer to Component 1 exemplars in the Exemplar Gallery. \nThese should be used alongside the Assessment Grid and Taxonomy to help understand the mark breakdown of candidates’ work across the performance bands. \nCentres can also refer to the following training for further support: \no International GCSE Art and Design-YouTube bitesize videos \no Art and Design Training and Network Events-YouTube recorded training \no Pearson Professional Development Academy live virtual and on demand training","cbCaivaeOtxNuQg8","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaivaeOtxNuQg8","pdf",184397,"English","# Teaching and learning overview\n## Themes and resources\n## External assessment submission options\n## Consistent submission method\n# Submission requirements and marking process\n## Authentication and AI referencing\n## Marks and external assessment\n## Selection of the best project\n## Evidence for assessment objectives\n# Quality, annotation, and documentation\n## Written annotation guidance\n## Image quality and readability\n## Photography for large-scale and 3D work\n# Exemplars and training\n## Exemplar Gallery and grids\n## Additional training resources","[{\"question\":\"What submission options are available for Component 1: Personal Portfolio?\",\"answer\":\"Candidates can submit images/scans of the three A2 supporting studies and the one A2 final outcome(s), or submit a presentation containing no more than 20 slides.\"},{\"question\":\"What does a centre need to submit for each candidate?\",\"answer\":\"Centres submit one project for Component 1 from each candidate along with an Authentication Form signed by both the teacher and the candidate.\"},{\"question\":\"Are centres required to include written annotation, and what should it support?\",\"answer\":\"Written annotation is not required.
