This is providing greater access for young people beyond London to experience  \nlive theatre. The Royal Shakespeare Company, for example, has launched a four-year programme to tour major productions in partnership with regional theatres, alongside its First Encounters tours to schools and communities.  \nMeanwhile, the National Theatre has committed to touring several of its major productions directly to regional theatres with their original casts. Hopefully, for the sake of continuity, any changes affecting Education and the Arts will be kept to a minimum, allowing those ministers to retain their portfolios. Early indications also suggest there maybe a shift towards a more devolved model of government, giving regions greater autonomy and control over their budgets.  \nAs we report in this issue, several leading arts organisations are already  \ncountry can experience NT productions, particularly if the promised ticket concessions for school groups come to fruition.  \nElsewhere in this issue, we interview best-selling author Mike Gayle, celebrate Little Angel Theatre’s 65th anniversary, and visit Poole to learn more about an exciting new youth theatre project.  \nOn a personal note, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Susan Elkin for her outstanding contribution to Ink Pellet over the past eleven years.
