In 2015, we achieved an exceptional figure of 1025.9 for our Value Added progress measure; against the national figure of 1000; a figure which we believe to be one of the best in the City and placed us in the top 20% of schools nationally. This figure was confirmed by the Educational Outcomes data analysis from SSAT for the progress made by students between their Key Stage 2 results at Primary school and their Key Stage 4 results. \nThese figures reflect the hard work and commitment shown by both students and teachers and have resulted in the school being nationally recognised for its exceptional 2015 performance by the Schools, Students and Teachers network (SSAT) . \nSue Williamson, Chief Executive of SSAT said: ‘It’s my great pleasure to commend Jack Hunt School on their excellent 2015 performance, and to have the opportunity to highlight and share their great work at the SSAT Educational Outcomes celebration evening.”She continued “I hope that SSAT’s Educational Outcomes award will highlight the professionalism, commitment and hard work of the leaders, teachers and students at Jack Hunt School. Recognising and sharing successes like this is at the heart of SSAT’s mission, so I’m delighted to congratulate Jack Hunt School on their achievement.’ \nHeadteacher, Mrs Kilbey said, ‘We are delighted to have received this award. It recognises the dedication, resilience, aspiration for all and sheer hard work of the staff at Jack Hunt School. It also recognises the commitment of our students to achieve the best outcomes they could; they are truly exceptional and we are very proud of them.’ \nTall Ships Challenge \nOn Monday 11 July, ten students with Mr Davison and Miss Hinch left Peterborough on the train to take part in the Tall Ships Challenge along with students and staff from Voyager Academy and Ormiston Bushfield Academy. \nIt is the first time for Jack Hunt School to be participating in this event organised by Cross Key Homes in conjunction with the Tall Ships Youth Trust. They will be sailing along the Solent, off the south coast, from July 11 to July 15. \nAfter settling in on day one the students competed in their first starboard and port runner race. Day two was a very windy day and involved many challenges for the students including almost capsizing the boat and Josh Moses almost falling in. Day 4 was a very busy day with inter-boat racing and climbing the 92ft mast. Visit the blog to find out more about the students adventures during the week. \nIssue 112-July 2016 \nDiary Dates 2016 Friday 22 July-1.25pm finish \nBig Finish / Last Day of Term Monday 25 July-Wednesday 27July Year 6 Transition Week 9am-3. 15pm Thursday 18 August \nA Level Results - 9.30am Year 13 AS Level Results-11.00am Year 12 Thursday 25 August \nGCSE Results - 9.30am-12 noon \nMonday 5 & Tuesday 6 September \nProfessional Days-Staff only \nWednesday 7 September \nFirst Day of Term Year 7-8.40am \nYear 12 & 13-9 am \nYear 8, 9,10,& 11-10 am \nTuesday 20 September \nYear 7 Curriculum Evening \nWednesday 21 September \nYear 11 Motivation Evening \nTuesday 27 September \nProspective Year 7 Evening \nThursday 29 September \nYear 7, Year 10, Year 12 and 13 School Photographs-Main Hall \nThursday 6 October \nYear 10 ‘Dreams & Aspirations’Curriculum Evening (Part II) \nTuesday 11 October \nYear 13 Parents Evening \nFriday 21 October-Friday 28 October \nHalf Term \nWednesday 2 November \nProspective Year 12 Evening \nTuesday 29 November \nYear 12 Parent Evening \nThursday 8 December \nYear 11 Parent Evening \n","cbCaiuUVgRQfjmzp","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiuUVgRQfjmzp","pdf",1281389,"English","# Headteacher’s Column\n## SSAT Award for Exceptional Results\n## Tall Ships Challenge\n## Issue 112 - July 2016\n## Diary Dates 2016","[{\"question\":\"What award did Jack Hunt School receive in July 2016, and for what achievement?\",\"answer\":\"The school received the SSAT Educational Outcomes award, recognizing exceptional progress from Year 7 to Year 11, including a 2015 Value Added figure of 1025.9.\"},{\"question\":\"When did the Tall Ships Challenge take place and which students participated?\",\"answer\":\"It ran from July 11 to July 15, with ten students taking part alongside staff, leaving Peterborough on Monday 11 July.\"},{\"question\":\"Where can families find important academic year dates and times?\",\"answer\":\"The newsletter advises checking the school calendar on the website for important dates and times during the academic year.\"}]","Inform July 2016 | PDF",1789468862]
