Data from 1,298 prospective teachers across chemistry, biology, science, elementary teacher education, and mathematics were collected using both SHOM scale versions. Results indicate locality of SSI, grade, and program influence SHOM, and familiarity with local SSI supports SHOM-based SSI decisions. Teacher education should enrich undergraduate courses integrating SSI with SHOM, measuring SSI via SHOM, and connecting ethnoscience through SSI and SHOM.","","cbCaiay7E3Lf2Zeh","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiay7E3Lf2Zeh","pdf",862407,1,27,"English","en",105,"# Abstract\n## Study focus and SHOM scale versions\n## Participants and data collection\n## Key findings\n## Implications for teacher education","[{\"question\":\"How does the study define the adapted and revisited SHOM scale versions?\",\"answer\":\"The adapted version includes global socio-scientific issues, while the revisited version includes local socio-scientific issues.
