Prometric will also be responsible for all examination-related expenses and the collection of examination fees from the exam candidates. \nGiven this shift, CMTO’s Council approved several amendments to the College’s By-Law No. 7 – Fees for Registration, Examinations and Other Activities at the September 21-22, 2020 Council Meeting. \nDuring the meeting, Council made the decision to eliminate all references to examination fees within CMTO’s By-Law No. 7, since the College will no longer be responsible for collecting examination fees from the exam candidates. Please refer to Agenda Item 4.3.1 of September 21 and 22, 2020 – Council Meeting Materials for approved amendments to sections 16, 17, 18 and 19 of “Examination Fees”. These changes will come into effect on December 31, 2020. \nReferences to miscellaneous fees as they relate to the administration of the certification examinations, and such as the cost of replacement of photo identification cards, in sections 3, 5 and 8 of By-Law No. 7-Schedule A will also be removed. \nAmendments to miscellaneous fees as they relate to the Quality Assurance Program (QAP) under By-Law No.7-Schedule A will also take effect on December 31, 2020. These changes include: \n• a higher fee for Practice / Peer Reassessments; \n• a $250.00 fee for a Practice / Peer Assessment required as a result of non-compliance with the Quality Assurance Program; \n• the introduction of fees for re-scheduling a Practice / Peer Assessment within two weeks of the assessment date; and \n• an administrative fee of $35.00 if follow-up is required because of non-compliance concerns. \nIn addition, under this By-Law, the workshop fees have been updated to include a cancellation fee of $100.00 in cases where less than two days’ notice is given. These amendments are available for viewing under Agenda Item 6.1 of the September 21-22 Council Meeting package.","cbCaiqELIFyITT4G","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiqELIFyITT4G","pdf",121041,"English","# OSCE and MCQ exam administration change\n## Transfer of development, administration, and fee responsibilities to Prometric\n# CMTO Council amendments to By-Law No. 7\n## Elimination of examination-fee references and effective date\n## Removal of miscellaneous fees in Schedule A\n# Fee updates tied to Quality Assurance Program (QAP)\n## Revised practice/peer reassessment and non-compliance fees\n## Rescheduling fee and administrative follow-up fee\n# Workshop fee update\n## Cancellation fee for less than two days’ notice","[{\"question\":\"What change takes effect on January 1, 2021 for OSCE and MCQ certification exams?\",\"answer\":\"Development and administration move from CMTO to Prometric, which will develop and administer the examinations on behalf of CMTO.\"},{\"question\":\"Why did CMTO’s Council amend By-Law No. 7?\",\"answer\":\"Council approved amendments because CMTO will no longer collect examination fees from exam candidates, so references to examination fees are eliminated.\"},{\"question\":\"What fee changes were introduced under the Quality Assurance Program (QAP)?\",\"answer\":\"The update increases the practice/peer reassessment fee, adds a $250.00 fee for required practice/peer assessment due to non-compliance, introduces a rescheduling fee within two weeks, and adds a $35.00 administrative fee when follow-up is required for non-compliance concerns.\"}]","Important Update on By-Law No. 7 - certification exam fees and amendments | PDF",1789931163]
