The start of the second semester offers an opportunity to reset your academic goals, to build new habits and to focus on finishing the year strong.  \nThis communiqué covers a number of different topics. Please take note of the information that is relevant to you.  \nChanges to A2 assessment timetable (November 2026)  \nDue to the announcement of 4 November 2026 as South Africa’s local government election date, the timetable for the A2 assessment period had to be amended. Please check your personalised timetables to ensure that you have the correct assessment dates.  \nRecalculation of final marks and re-evaluation of answer scripts  \nIf you intend to apply for the recalculation of marks, or the re-evaluation of answer scripts , we strongly advise that you work through your answer scripts before submitting your application. Refer to the General Yearbook 2026 (Part 1) for the application procedures.  \n• The closing date to request the recalculation of final marks is Friday, 24 July 2026 .  \n• The re-evaluation of answer scripts is applicable only to the final A2 and A3 marks (and only if the recalculation yielded a mark of at least 45%) . The closing date to request there-evaluation of A2 and A3 answer scripts is Friday, 31 July 2026 .  \nClick HERE for more information.  \nMidyear results and academic transcripts  \nAs we are aware that some students have to submit their mid-year results when applying for bursaries or admission to new academic programmes by the end of July, the mid-year academic transcripts will be available to students on request from 27 July 2026 .
