It describes strong interest among Jesuit-university professors and highlights key forms of engagement: Mission, Reflection, Discernment, Solidarity and Kinship, and Service rooted in Love and Justice. in the experiences oftheir faculty. An important characteristic ofIgnatian pedagogy is the reliance “on professors toserve as models….both in and out of the class-room”(Mooney.Jesuit Education and IgnatianPedagogy,2003).As faculty in Jesuit higher educationare supported and cultivate their attention to the divineSpirit in the ordinary events of their life,so too will theirstudents. The habits of contemplation and reflection willbe emulated.Real engagement with Ignatian spiritualityin the professoriate will lead to real engagement withinthe 'millennials'in their classrooms.Despite socio-cultur-al challenges.we suggest that there is notable interestamong faculty at Jesuit universities. As well, there areopportunities and resources for faculty to embrace.Wepresent some of these below. \n## Interest\n\nThere is widespread appreciation and desire for aheightened experience of the spiritual dimensions of lifeamong faculty. In a national review on spirituality with-in today's professoriate,81 percent of the more than \n40,000 faculty surveyed described themselves as “a spir-itual person”with more than half of those indicating \"toa great extent\".Sixty-nine percent sought opportunitiesto grow spiritually and 47 percent believe that\"Integrating spirituality in my life\"is essential(Spirituality in Higher Education,Higher EducationResearch Institute at UCLA,2005).It is likely that the rel-evance is even greater for faculty who have chosen to \npursue their academic vocation at a Jesuit college or uni-versity.For instance, when asked,\"Which one of the sixcharacteristics of the Ignatian Vision speaks most strong-ly to me?,”almost a third of the faculty at XavierUniversity identify with\"Seeks to find the Divine in allthings”(see box below). \nStudents,in contrast, are more action and deed ori-ented;35 percent point to \"Empowers people to becomeleaders in service”.Similarly,a group of faculty andadministrators charged by President Michael J.Graham,S.J.,to shape the future campus's mission and identity, stated,in their final report, that \"Indeed,for Xavier tofulfill its aspirations,Ignatian spirituality will need tobecome a more genuine
