The General Training module is suitable for candidates who are going to English-speaking countries to complete their secondary education or to work or take part in training programmes which do not demand a degree level. We advise you to check the entry requirements with the organisation requesting that you take an IELTS test prior to booking your test. \n§ For further information about the test format and timings, please see Information for Candidates Booklet \nApplications \n§ All applications must be made in advance. \n§ Please apply via the online registration system \n[https://ieltsregistration.britishcouncil.org/test](https://ieltsregistration.britishcouncil.org/test) \nchooser/se?organisation=Folkuniversitetet-Gothenburg \n§ You must provide a copy of the ID you register during the application process. You can either upload it or send it to us by email or post. \n§ The only accepted ID is your passport including photo and signature OR, if you are an EU national, your national ID card. The only accepted Swedish national ID card is the one issued by Polismyndigheten (Swedish police) . Skatteverket ID and driving licences are not accepted. \n§ Once your application has been submitted, you cannot go back to change your details. Please email us if you have made a mistake and we can correct it for you. \n§ Further information and instructions about the test will be emailed to you approximately a week before your test date. \nIELTS is jointly owned by the British Council; IDP IELTS; and Cambridge University Press & Assessment [folkuniversitetet.se/ielts](folkuniversitetet.se/ielts) \n[britishcouncil.se/exam](britishcouncil.se/exam) \nPage 1 of 3 \nSpeaking Test \n§ The Speaking test is scheduled at 20-minute intervals either on the same day or the day before the three written components (Listening, Reading and Writing) . \n§ If you do attend your speaking test at the scheduled time, there is a fee of 500 SEK including VAT. \nPractice Materials \n§ A link to practice material is available to you from the British Council once your registration is complete. There is also a self-study book ‘Official IELTS Practice Materials’ available to order from online bookshops. \nTest Results \n§ For paper-based tests, results will be available in your IELTS Test Taker Portal and posted to you exactly 13 days after the test. For computer-based tests, results will be available in your IELTS Test Taker Portal between 3 and 5 days after the test. Very rarely, results can be delayed in which case you will receive an email informing you of the delay. \n§ Candidates who do IELTS-on-Paper receive one copy of their test result by post. No paper result is issued to candidates who do IELTS-on-Computer. \n§ You can request that we release your result to an organisation/institution. Full postal addresses should be entered in your IELTS Test Taker Portal. For IELTS-onComputer candidates from June 2023, it is expected that you share the pdf version of your Test Report Form with organisations/institutions. \n§ You can request that we release your results to ten institutions/organisations free of charge. Each subsequent additional Test Report Form may incur a postal charge. \n§ British Council rules mean we cannot email results nor give results over the phone. \n§ If you have done an IELTS-on-Paper test, you may collect your result in person at Folkuniversitetet in Gothenburg but only if you agree this with us by email before the results are released.
