IDA20 delivered, mobilizing a record $97.4 billionto support the world’s most vulnerable countries. But what mattersmore than this number are the results achieved with these resources—lives improved, opportunities created, hope for the future restored.  \nIDA20 delivered impact at scale.The results speak for themselves. Across IDAclient countries:  \n• 122 million people—more than half ofthem women—were supported by socialsafety nets,  \n• 54 million people gained new or improvedelectricity that powered homes, schools,and businesses, and  \n• 138 million people were connected tobroadband internet, unlocking access toinformation, markets, and services.  \nThese are tangible improvements that boosthuman dignity and economic potential.  \nIDA moved with speed and agility.  \nFacing urgent needs, clients frontloaded $1.7 billionin resources within the first year and redirected$8.2 billion to priorities like food security. IDAapproved projects faster—in eight months insteadof 12—and reprogrammed resources in weeks, notquarters. This operational dexterity ensured thatsupport got to the places it was needed most, whenit was needed.  \nIDA maximized every dollar for growth.Through innovative finance and balance-sheetoptimization, IDA multiplied each donor dollar nearly  \n3.5 times. This enabled historic investments in humancapital, infrastructure, and private sector development.The Private Sector Window mobilized $6.2 billion infinancing that catalyzed nearly $39 billion in commercialinvestment, proving that public capital can unlock privatemarkets even in the most challenging environments.  \nIDA built resilience through results.  \nIDA20 wasn’t just about recovery; it was about buildingfor the future.
