The text explains how God created human organs to function, then highlights the eye’s purpose in receiving light and enabling sight. It describes physical challenges, defines blindness, and lists common causes. Jesus is presented as meeting people with disabilities and healing them, including Bartimeaus, whose identity was shaped by long-term blindness.","I Want To See \nA Bible Story lesson From Mark 10:46-52 Luke 18: 35-43, John 9:1-38 English \nI Want To See \nSpecial thanks to Chinedum Isiguzor, Uche Ofulue, Ngozi Martin, Funmi Ikpefan and Darcie Drymon who took time to edit the story in this book and offered useful suggestions. \nEnglish \nCopyright © 2022, Martin Ikeya \nScripture multimedia Unit of Bible Translation Department, Calvary Ministries CAPRO,Jos, Nigeria \n[http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/)[ ](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/)[You may not use this work for commercial purposes. Without the organs in our body we will not be able to perform some specific functions. \nOrgans are the body's recognizable structures (the heart, lungs, liver, eyes and stomach) that perform specific functions. An organ is made up of several types of tissues and there are several types of cells. \nThe eye is a special organ of the body. It gives light to the body. It is the pair of visible organ that humans and animals use to see. \nWithout the eye, we will not be able to see the beautiful things that God has made for our pleasures. We need to take good care of our eyes to prevent us from going blind. \nIn our world today, there are a lot of people who are physically challenged. Some have legs but cannot walk, some have mouth but cannot speak while some have eyes but cannot see. \nBlindness, for example is the inability to see with the physical eye. Such people have eyes but their eyes have been damage by a medical condition that makes it impossible for them to see. \nBlindness is the inability to see anything, including light. A variety of factors can lead to blindness. \nSome common causes of blindness are: people with diabetes, age-related macular degeneration, traumatic injuries, infections of the cornea or retina, glaucoma, and while some others are born blind. \nAs Jesus went about preaching and teaching, He met people who are physically challenged and healed them so that the works of God might be displayed in their lives. \nOne of the people that Jesus healed was a man popularly named \"The Blind Bartimeaus. \" He was the son of a man named Timeaus but was always refered to as \"The Blind Bartimeaus. \" \nBlindness became his identity and people hardly called him by his surname. Even though he was the son of Timeaus, people often refered him as \"The Blind Bartimeaus\"because of his blind condition. \nBlindness has oppressed Bartimeaus for a longtime and he has lived for many years begging for alms.","cbCaipnPIXAi7fKd","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaipnPIXAi7fKd","pdf",592724,1,19,"English","en",105,"# Bible Story Lesson\n## Scripture References\n## God’s Design for Human Organs\n## The Eye and Taking Care\n## Physical Challenges in the World\n## Understanding Blindness and Its Causes\n## Jesus Heals the Physically Challenged\n## Bartimeaus: Identity and Healing","[{\"question\":\"Which Bible passages are used in this lesson?\",\"answer\":\"The lesson references Mark 10:46-52, Luke 18:35-43, and John 9:1-38.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the text explain the eye and its purpose?\",\"answer\":\"The eye is described as a special organ that gives light to the body, allowing humans and animals to see.
