Under the Grey protocol, we can not teach any courses. Under “red”, we can teach with 9 students/class. Under“orange” or lower, we can teach with 12 students per instructor. \nWe are accepting bookings for our future dated courses, but you should know that they might get cancelled at the last minute or we may be forced to reduce class size from 12 to 9 to stay compliant with the regulations. Thank you for understanding and please be safe. Please send us your information and we will add you to a notification list. \nThe only way to secure a spot for a course is to send us your information and a deposit. E-transfers are the easiest way to send a deposit. \nFAQ-Updated September 8, 2021 \n--------- \nQ. What courses do I need? \nA: Choose which suits you best: \nI want to hunt without ever using firearms \nHunter Education Course only (minimum age = 12) \nI want to hunt with firearms \n\"One Stop\" program = Canadian Firearms Safety Course \n+ Hunter Education Course (minimum age = 12) \nI do not want to hunt. I want to own or use \"non-restricted\" firearms \nCanadian Firearms Safety Course (minimum age = 12) \nI do not want to hunt. I want to own or use \"restricted\" firearms, like handguns \nCanadian Firearms Safety Course \n+ Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (minimum age = 18) \nNOTE: If you want to “do it all” and have a full PAL (Canadian Firearms Possession and Acquisition License) covering non-restricted and restricted firearms AND do some hunting AND if you are over 18, we strongly recommend doing the CFSC + CRFSC first (typically on a weekend) and then pick up the Hunter Education course later on another weekend (or do the hunting course and exam online ) . If you choose to do the hunting course \n“in-person” you only have to attend the Sunday of the 2nd weekend. (Why? Because it takes several months to apply for and get a PAL after the course, but you can buy a hunting license the day after your Hunting Course, so start the PAL process first) . \nQ.Do I have to take the Firearms Safety Course and test? \nA: The Firearms Act requires that individuals wishing to acquire non-restricted firearms or ammunition must take the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) and pass a written and practical test. If you wish to have restricted privileges on you PAL, you must also take and pass a restricted firearms safety course. We teach both. \n--- \nQ. How do I get my Canadian Federal Firearms License (PAL)? \nA: You need to take a course, pass a test and complete a PAL application form. The course is no longer optional (as of July 2015) . \nEvery person in Canada must have a PAL before they can legally own a firearm or purchase ammunition in Canada. This applies to non-Canadian citizens (while in Canada) as well. If you want to own a firearm for trap and skeet or target shooting this is the only license you need. If you might want to hunt with a firearm, you should also see the section on getting a hunting license. \n● To apply for a PAL, you need to have taken the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) and passed the exam or test before you can apply. The course and optional text book will help you prepare for the exam. You must be 18 years old and apply for a firearms license. If under 18, your parent can request the Minor’s License application,(by calling the CFO-1-800-731-4000 ext. 7548) but the young person must have taken the CFSC and passed the exam. \n● You must be taught and tested by a certified instructor/examiner for the Canadian Firearms Safety Course. A listing of instructors and examiners in Ontario is posted here-[http://www.fseso.org](http://www.fseso.org) \n● Three to six weeks after passing the test you should receive a certified copy of your test results back from the Chief Firearms Office (CFO) . Once you receive the test results, you can mail a copy of ","cbCaihgF0Bofihx7","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaihgF0Bofihx7","pdf",159330,12,"English","# Course availability and booking\n## COVID-19 protocol limits\n## Reserving a spot: information and deposit\n# Which course do I need?\n## Hunting without firearms\n## Hunting with firearms (one-stop program)\n## Non-restricted vs restricted firearms\n## Recommended “do it all” sequence\n# Firearms safety course requirements\n## Firearms Act: required courses and tests\n## How to get a PAL\n## Eligibility and minor’s license process\n## Instructor/examiner testing and timelines\n# CFSC and the exam\n## Bill C-42: no retesting option\n## PROVE process and course content\n## Exam format and passing requirements\n## CRFSC for restricted privileges","[{\"question\":\"Under COVID-19 rules, when can courses be taught and how large can classes be?\",\"answer\":\"Courses are not taught under “Grey lockdown” using the Grey protocol.
