At the ‘cut’ section, bearings in one beam straddle a vertical bearing track in the mating beam. This ensures free vertical movement for monitoring shear forces. Although beam bending is permitted, it is counteracted by the bearings and a tension spring supported horizontally from underneath the beams. The force transducer is supplied with a connection lead to connect its output directly into the HDA200 Interface (sold separately) . Special Load hangers are provided that fit over the beams. The Load hangers can be positioned accurately along each beams length by using the graduated scales attached to the side of the beams. \nRelated Laws/Applications \n Shear Force \n Strain \n Stress \n Young's' Modulus \n Shear Force Diagrams (SFD) \n Verification of Equilibrium of Vertical Forces and Moments \n[sales@p-a-hilton.co.uk](sales@p-a-hilton.co.uk) 01794 388 382 \n[www.p-a-hilton.co.uk](www.p-a-hilton.co.uk) V2 | 1 \nLearning capabilities \n Visual demonstration of shear force at a 'cut' in a beam \n Comparison of experimental results with theory \n Creation and use of shear force diagrams \n Shear force variation with varying point loads, load positions and load arrangements \n Use of force transducer to monitor shear force \nTechnical Specification \n Beam lengths of 650 and 350mm \n Beam cross section: 51 x 38mm \n 50mm graduations on beams \n Weights set: 1 x 2N, 1 x 5N, 2 x 10N \nEssential Ancillaries \n HST1 (or HST100) \n HDA200 \nWeights & Dimensions \n Weight: 6 kg \n Length: 1000mm \n Width: 600mm \n Height: 300mm \nEssential Services \n 110/120V, 60Hz or 220/240V, 50Hz, single phase, live neutral and earth for optional HDA200 \nOperational Conditions \n Storage temperature: -10°C to +70°C \n Operating temperature range: +10°C to +50°C \n Operating relative humidity range: 0 to 95%, non condensing \nOrdering information \nTo order this product, please call PA Hilton quoting the following code: HST9 \nRecommended Ancillaries \n HST9A \n HSTS \nWhat’s in the Box? \n 1 x Short Beam \n 1 x Long Beam \n 2 x Support Rods \n 3 x Hangers \n 1 x 2N, 1 x 5N, 2 x 10N weight \n 1 x Tape measure \n Accessories container \n Hex wrench \n Instruction manual \n E-book \n Packing list \n Test sheet \nYou might also like \n HST10 \n HST46 \n HFC31 \nAll brand and/or product names are trademarks of their respective owners.
