Please delete these notes before printing  \nHow to Make and Wear a Simple Beekeeper’s Veil  \nEquipment Needed  \n1. One or more white maize sacks or similar strong, cheap material. The cloth should, if possible, be WHITE or PALE because bees are not attracted to the colour white and you will be better protected from the bees’ stings.  \n2. A piece of mesh such as mosquito net. This will cover and protect your face but allow you to see out.  \n3. Scissors or a sharp knife to cut the sack and net.  \n4. A needle and thread to sew all the edges and to make a hat shape.  \n5. Some string to tie the veil tightly around you  \nMethod  \n1. First cut the sack in half along its length.  \nThen cut each half into three pieces. Each piece can be used to make the hat part of a veil.  \n2. Maize sacking frays easily (the threads pull away) . In order to stop this happening, all the edges of the piece should be turned over and sewed.  \n3. Stitch each piece to make a corner.  \n4.
