They expressed concern about the weak governance environment in the country and stressed the critical importance of addressing the cross-cutting issues of governance and corruption, and strengthening institutions to enhance the country’s resilience and promote poverty reduction and growth. Directors underscored the importance of continued support of key sectoral reforms in the country, in particular in the energy sector, and efforts to address migration issues. They welcomed the focus on promoting human development, inclusive economic development, job creation, resilience to natural hazards and social inclusion. In this regard, they also valued the focus on inclusion of youth, women, ethnic minorities, including indigenous people and vulnerable groups.  \nDirectors commended the various efforts to support private sector development. They called on both the IFC and MIGA to seek opportunities to enhance the country’s productivity, improving access to finance for minorities and women, and appreciated the collaboration across the WBGon the employment issues. They called for continued WBG engagement in support to the private sector where the WBG’s comparative advantage is clear and can lead to results.
