These lessons are appropriate for students in Years 3 and 4. Some games may require teacher modification to ensure they are accessible for all students. \nThe lesson plans aim to build students’ confidence and competence to participate in hockey over the 8-week game-based program. As the activities become more challenging, students will learn the rules and skills needed to understand, play and enjoy the sport of hockey. \nThis resource is based on the Playing for Life and Game Sense concepts. These contemporary approaches to teaching and coaching use a game-centred approach to develop fundamental movement skills for games and sports. The use of skilled questioning will enable students to reflect on and refine their movement skills as they progress. \nFor each lesson, the following is included: \n• Learning intentions – outcomes of each lesson \n• Skill focus – skills to develop \n• Duration, area","cbCaiord0xo1JGmD","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiord0xo1JGmD","pdf",10573246,83,"English","# Overview\n# Assessment\n# Tips for delivery\n# Safety considerations\n# CHANGE IT\n# Curriculum links\n# Introduction to hockey\n# Getting started\n## Equipment\n## Basic skills\n# Lesson 1\n# Lesson 2\n# Lesson 3\n# Lesson 4\n# Lesson 5\n# Lesson 6\n# Lesson 7\n# Lesson 8\n# Self assessment rubric\n# Peer assessment\n# Hockey assessment rubric\n# Join a club\n# Appendices","[{\"question\":\"Who are these hockey lessons intended for?\",\"answer\":\"They are designed for primary school students in Years 3 and 4, and for teachers delivering a physical education program.\"},{\"question\":\"What teaching approach does the resource follow?\",\"answer\":\"The plans are based on Playing for Life and Game Sense concepts, using a game-centred approach and skilled questioning to support reflection and skill refinement.\"},{\"question\":\"What elements are included for each lesson?\",\"answer\":\"Each lesson includes learning intentions, skill focus, duration/area/equipment, developmentally appropriate activities, CHANGE IT engagement and adaptation ideas, curriculum links, and assessment ideas including “What did you learn?” questions.\"}]","Hockey lesson plans - Eight curriculum-aligned lesson plans | PDF",1792701977,209]
