Schools who encourage students, staff, and faculty participation in successful, lifesaving blood drives will be awarded grants to help facilitate student achievement.  \n1. The school must host at least 2 blood drives a year, and all blood donors hosted by the schoolshall be with Shepeard Community Blood Center.  \n2. The school will earn $20 from each donation. Donors who give blood through an automated device will earn $40 for their school.  \n3. Shepeard will reimburse the school the cost of one (1) substitute teacher for drives whose goal is more than 30 units. This is to allow the drive chair to help facilitate on the day of the drive, rather than having to balance his/her time between the blood drive and the classroom.  \n4. All grants must directly benefit students in the form of:  \na. Scholarships to attend accredited higher education entities, technical schools, or certification classes  \nb. Supplies, tools, or technology used by students or teachers to promote academic achievement  \nc. Scholarships to attend academic conferences, meetings, competitions, etc.  \n5. Schools may limit the scope of these areas by developing additional criteria.  \n6.
