Med 8 and heme consult fellows are responsible for providing cases to share. During COVID, these rounds are virtual. You should try to have patient information for Dr. \nGreenberg by Wednesday at 1pm of the previous week so that he can prepare. Can send him screen shots of cellavision in place of physical slides if easier. (his mailbox is in the cancer center on the 2nd floor behind the ITA, can ask a nurse to let you in there since we do not have access) \nCase management rounds (mandatory): Mon thru Fri, 1:20P. On the days you have clinic, ask the residents to cover case management rounds. \nMed 8 Rounding \n- Residents arrive at 7A to receive overnight signout and pre-round. One resident is long-call until 7P daily, and will admit patients you triage from the \nED/ITA/transfer center. \n- Timing and how rounds are run vary by attending. Timing considerations include: \n- Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays: all residents go to morning report 9A- 10A \n- Wednesdays: no morning report, instead Ground Rounds 8A-9A \n- Fridays: only the intern goes to morning report 9A-10A \n- Residents go to noon conference 12:30 A – 1:15P \n- The Med 8 fellow is responsible for Med 8 patients transferred to the ICU \nyou are expected to round and write notes on these patients.
