It brings together members from the Faculty of Letters; Faculty of Languages, Literatures and Cultures; and Faculty of Social Communication and Media Studies. The Centre also collaborates with scholars, educators, and librarians from other institutions in Poland and abroad.  \nThe research carried out at CBLDM focuses on children’s literature and culture. Continuing the tradition of researching children’s literature at the University of Wrocław, which dates back to the 1960s. The CBLDM members have intensified and expanded it, bringing together various scholarly perspectives, both those strongly rooted at the Faculty of Letters (e.g. historical and cultural criticism, reader-response studies, translation studies, media studies, linguistics, library and information science) and those originating from other fields (e.g. popular culture studies, gender studies, participatory research, child-led research, childhood studies, memory studies, posthumanism).
