Any members of staff who are taking qualifications at their own centre which include internally assessed components/units (remember that other centres should be approached first-entering staff at the centre at which they work should be seen as a last resort) \n2. Centre staff are taking qualifications at other centres. \nIt’s the responsibility of the Head of Centre to ensure that all conflicts of interest are reported and managed effectively to protect the integrity of the exams and assessments concerned. \nWhere internally assessed components/units are involved, any conflicts must be reported to AQA using the Conflict of Interest webform including internally assessed or externally assessed Speaking, Listening or Oracy components/units. \nA list of the qualifications which include the components/units that would require a webform submission if a Conflict of Interest is present can be found in Appendix A. \nGuidance on managing conflicts of interest for schools and colleges \nSubmitting a Conflict of Interest webform \nOnce the webform has been completed and submitted, we will only contact centres if we need any further information, or if there are any concerns with the action the centre is taking to manage the conflict of interest. \nRemember that you do not need to tell us about any conflicts involving subjects which do not have an internally assessed component or unit or an internally or externally assessed Speaking, Listening or Oracy component or unit, but the Head of Centre must manage these conflicts and have records readily available for inspection, for example should a visiting JCQ inspector request to see them. \nIf a conflict comes to light that cannot be managed by the examples below, then you must contact the Exams [Integrity team by emailing](Integrity team by emailing COIcentredeclarations@aqa.org.uk)[ ](Integrity team by emailing COIcentredeclarations@aqa.org.uk)[COIcentredeclarations@aqa.org.uk](Integrity team by emailing COIcentredeclarations@aqa.org.uk) to ask for advice. \n© 2026 AQA 3 \nGuidance for centreson managing conflicts of interest \nPlease see below scenarios when handling potential conflicts of interests; \n\n| Conflict: Staff member taking a subject with an\u003Cbr>internally assessed component/unit at their own centre | Report to AQA using online form? | Yes |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| As set out in the JCQ regulations, this is a ‘last resort’scenario-ideally the centre should make arrangements for the ","cbCaitxDaps4sxPm","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaitxDaps4sxPm","pdf",676557,11,"English","# Introduction\n# When conflicts require reporting to AQA\n## Submitting a Conflict of Interest webform\n## Managing conflicts when reporting is not required\n# Responsibility for managing conflicts\n# Using the guidance scenarios and records\n# Appendix A (qualification list requiring webform submission)","[{\"question\":\"Which staff conflicts of interest must be managed when they take qualifications at their own centre?\",\"answer\":\"Staff taking qualifications at their own centre that include internally assessed components or units require specific handling, with other centres approached first and clear evidence of any attempts made.
