Table 2A provides summary statistics for each of the GRE Subject Tests, including number of test takers, mean and standard deviation of scaled scores, and percent of the group by gender. The table is based on all individuals who tested between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2025. Test takers who received a No Score (NS) are excluded from the data reported in the accompanying tables. \nTable 2A: Performance Statistics on the GRE Subject Tests \n(Based on the performance of all individuals who tested between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2025) \n\n| Test | Number of Test\u003Cbr>Takers | Mean | Standard\u003Cbr>Deviation |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| Mathematics Test | 5,770 | 688 | 162 |\n| Physics Test | 4,760 | 733 | 167 |\n| Psychology Test | 2,278 | 584 | 114 |\n\nNote: For Mathematics a total of 21 percent of test takers indicated they were female, 77 percent \nindicated they were male; Physics a total of 21 percent of test takers indicated they were female, 77 \npercent indicated they were male; Psychology a total of 75 percent of test takers indicated they were \nfemale, 23 percent indicated they were male. For all Subject Tests, two percent indicated they were \neither non-binary, preferred to self-describe, or preferred not to answer. \nTable 2B on the following page provides percentile ranks for the Subject Test total scores. The percentile ranks are based on the percent of test takers scoring below a particular scale score. \nThe data are based on all individuals who tested between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2025. \nCopyright © 2026 by ETS.
