This is a test to measure your aptitudes for learning and performing the job of computer programming and systems analysis. There are three parts to the test and each part will be timed separately – Diagram Ability, Reasoning and Number Ability. It is designed to test your problem-solving ability, your ability to read and understand diagrams, etc. You can’t really study for the test. It is designed to test what abilities you have, as opposed to testing what facts or information you know. Total 40 multiple choice questions and the duration of the test is 1 hour. \nSample Questions \nDiagramming [10 Marks] \nQuestion 1-10 \nIn this section there are a number of problems with flow charts (schematic diagrams) that illustrate the process by which each problem is solved. The solution to a problem is illustrated in its diagram by following the arrows from cell to cell. \nSample question 1: \nProblem and conditions for Drawing 1 \nA. 200 Residences are randomly drawn from apool of 5000 Residences. \nB. The objective is to get a group of residences of any Type (A, B or C) of a certain quantity. \nC. Acceptance Criteria for various types of residences are asfollows: \n\n| Variable | Type A | Type B | Type C |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| Household Income | > $5,000 | > $4,000 | > $3,000 |\n| Housing Size | > 120 m2 | > 100 m2 | > 90 m2 |\n| Number of Children | > 2 | > 1 | > 4 |\n| Quantity Required | 20 | 30 | 10 |\n\nD. A residence can be classified as more than one Type. (ie a Residence could be Type A as well as Type C). However the selection criteria require the residence to be of a single type. An order of preference is therefore used to select the final type for such Residences. The order of preference is classified as follows: \n1. Type A \n2. Type B \n3. Type C \nIn other words, a residence having both Type A and C will be considered having a type of Type A. \nCell 1 \nA. Household Income > $ 5,000? \nB. Household Income > $ 4,000? \nC. Household Income > $ 3,000? \nD. Residence is not Type A? \nE. Residence is not Type B? \nAnswer: (B) \nCell 2 \nA. Household Income > $ 5,000? \nB. Household Income > $ 4,000? \nC. Household Income > $ 3,000? \nD. Housing Size > 100 m2 ? \nE. Housing Size > 120 m2 ? \nAnswer: (E) \nCell 3 \nA. Housing Size > 80 m2 ? \nB. Housing Size > 90 m2 ? \nC. Housing Size > 100 m2 ? \nD. Household Income > $ 3,000? \nE. Household Income > $ 4,000? \nAnswer: (B) \nCell 4 \nA. Number of Children > 1? \nB. Number of Children equals 1? \nC. Number of Children > 2? \nD. Number of Children equals 2? \nE. Number of Children > 3? \nAnswer: (A) \nCell 5 \nA. Is Type A Count equals 10? \nB. Is Type B Count equals 20? \nC. Is Type C Count equals 30? \nD. Is Type A Count equals 20? \nE. Is Type B Count equals 30? \nAnswer: (D) \nSample question 2: \nProblem and conditions for Drawing 2 \nThe Singapore based Elite Spa company offers a set of health treatments and revitalising treatments. When a customer walks into one of the elite spa centres they can purchase \n• An individual Vitality treatment session costing $100 \n• An individual Aromatherapy treatments session costing $150 \n• Note that Customers can only attend one session \nCustomers can also become members of the elite spa exclusive club for $200 per annum. \n• They can join on the spot when they walk in \n• If a customer is also a member then they will get 20% discount on the price of any individual session \nThe Club has also launched a special CNY packages to celebrate the Chinese lunar New Year. \n• This Package gives the customer three individual Vitality treatment sessions and three individual Aromatherapy treatment sessions for the price of $600 \n• Customers who are also Elite Spa exclusive club members can purchase this package for an additional discount of 10% \nIf a customer is simply in the middle of a CNY package (i.e., ","cbCairUfG2c8th9y","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCairUfG2c8th9y","pdf",348361,"English","# Aptitude Test Overview\n## Test Structure and Timing\n# Sample Questions - Diagramming (10 Marks)\n## Drawing 1: Residences Selection Logic\n## Drawing 2: Elite Spa Cost Calculation Flowchart","[{\"question\":\"What is the GDipSA aptitude test designed to measure?\",\"answer\":\"It measures applicants’ aptitudes for learning and for performing computer programming and systems analysis work, including problem-solving and the ability to read and understand diagrams.\"},{\"question\":\"How many sections are in the aptitude test and how is the time allocated?\",\"answer\":\"There are three parts, each timed separately: Diagram Ability, Reasoning, and Number Ability, for a total of 40 multiple-choice questions in 1 hour.\"},{\"question\":\"What does the Diagramming sample question focus on?\",\"answer\":\"It focuses on following arrows through flowchart-style schematic diagrams to determine the correct outcomes based on problem conditions and logic cells.\"}]","Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis (GDipSA) - Aptitude Test Sample | PDF",1790756017,25]
