For units which comprise one component these are raw mark grade boundaries. \nUnits comprising two components \nIn units comprising two components, the grade boundary marks sometimes need to be scaled before they are aggregated to the overall unitlevel. In these instances only the grade A and E scaled boundary marks are shown for each component as only these are set by the awarding committee. These scaled marks are then added to obtain unit-level grade A and E boundaries, at which point the intermediate grade B, C and D boundary marks are calculated for the unit as a whole (including the grade A* conversion points for A2 units) . Where both unit and component grade boundary marks are reported, the unit is listed first, followed by its components (shaded and italicised) . \nAdditional information on grade boundaries and uniform marks can be found here. \nFor further information, [contact](contact eos@aqa.org.uk)[ ](contact eos@aqa.org.uk)[eos@aqa.org.uk](contact eos@aqa.org.uk). \nPublished 16 August 2018 \nUnit grade boundaries – June 2018 exams A-level – specifications that use uniform marks \nMaximum Grade Boundaries and A* Conversion Points \nCode Title Mark A* A B C D E \nACCN1 \nACCN2 \nACCN3 \nACCN4 \nANTH1 \nANTH2 \nANTH3 \nANTH4 \nARCH1 \nARCH2 \nARCH3 \nARCH4 \nBENG1 \nBENG2 \nCIST1 \nCIST2 \nCIST3 \nCIST4 \nACCOUNTING UNIT 1 \nACCOUNTING UNIT 2 \nACCOUNTING UNIT 3 \nACCOUNTING UNIT 4 \nANTHROPOLOGY UNIT 1 \nANTHROPOLOGY UNIT 2 \nANTHROPOLOGY UNIT 3 \nANTHROPOLOGY UNIT 4 \nARCHAEOLOGY UNIT 1 \nARCHAEOLOGY UNIT 2 \nARCHAEOLOGY UNIT 3 \nARCHAEOLOGY UNIT 4 \nBENGALI UNIT 1 \nBENGALI UNIT 2 \nCITIZENSHIP STUDIES UNIT 1 \nCITIZENSHIP STUDIES UNIT 2 \nCITIZENSHIP STUDIES UNIT 3 \nCITIZENSHIP STUDIES UNIT 4 \n80 \n80 \n90 \n90 \n70 \n70 \n90 \n90 \n60 \n90 \n90 \n60 \n100 \n100 \n60 \n90 \n80 \n80 \n- \n- \n81 \n62 \n- \n- \n78 \n68 \n- \n- \n56 \n53 \n- \n82 \n- \n- \n54 \n60 \n59 \n48 \n72 \n55 \n51 \n51 \n69 \n61 \n39 \n54 \n51 \n48 \n69 \n74 \n43 \n60 \n49 \n55 \n52 \n41 \n63 \n48 \n46 \n45 \n60 \n54 \n35 \n48 \n46 \n43 \n60 \n66 \n39 \n54 \n44 \n50 \n45 \n34 \n54 \n41 \n41 \n40 \n51 \n47 \n32 \n42 \n41 \n38 \n51 \n59 \n35 \n48 \n39 \n45 \n38 \n27 \n45 \n34 \n36 \n35 \n43 \n41 \n29 \n37 \n36 \n33 \n43 \n52 \n31 \n42 \n34 \n40 \n32 \n21 \n37 \n27 \n32 \n30 \n35 \n35 \n26 \n32 \n31 \n28 \n35 \n45 \n27 \n37 \n29 \n36 \nUnit grade boundaries – June 2018 exams A-level – specifications that use uniform marks \nCode \nTitle \nMaximum Mark \nA* \nGrade Boundaries and A* Conversion Points \nA B C D \nE \nCIV1A \nCIV1B \nCIV1C \nCIV1D \nCIV1E \nCIV1F \nCIV2A \nCIV2B \nCIV2C \nCIV2D \nCIV2E \nCIV2F \nCIV3A \nCIV3B \nCIV3C \nCIV3D \nCIV4A \nCIV4B \nCIV4C \nCIV4D \nCOMM1 \nCOMM2 \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 1A \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 1B \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 1C \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 1D \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 1E \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 1F \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 2A \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 2B \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 2C \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 2D \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 2E \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 2F \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 3A \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 3B \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 3C \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 3D \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 4A \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 4B \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 4C \nCLASSICAL CIVILISATION UNIT 4D \nCOMMUNICATION AND CULTURE UNIT 1 \nCOMMUNICATION AND CULTURE UNIT 2 \n65 \n65 \n65 \n65 \n65 \n65 \n65 \n65 \n65 \n65 \n65 \n65 \n75 \n75 \n75 \n75 \n75 \n75 \n75 \n75 \n80 \n80 \n- \n- \n- \n- \n- \n- \n- \n- \n- \n- \n- \n- \n56 \n57 \n59 \n67 \n65 \n66 \n59 \n58 \n- \n- \n50 \n50 \n47 \n50 \n47 \n50 \n47 \n46 \n46 \n43 \n45 \n47 \n50 \n53 \n54 \n60 \n57 \n58 \n53 \n52 \n69 \n62 \n43 \n45 \n42 \n45 \n41 \n44 \n42 \n42 \n41 \n39 \n41 \n42 \n44 \n49 \n49","cbCaijWNuBo5agGo","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaijWNuBo5agGo","pdf",103416,13,"English","# Grade boundaries and uniform marks\n## Single-component vs two-component scaling\n## A* conversion points\n## Unit grade boundary tables by subject code","[{\"question\":\"How are grade boundaries determined for one-component A-level units?\",\"answer\":\"For units comprising one component, the document states that the boundaries are given as raw mark grade boundaries.\"},{\"question\":\"What changes for grade boundaries in two-component units?\",\"answer\":\"For two-component units, component marks may need scaling before aggregation; only the A and E scaled boundary marks are shown per component, then used to derive unit-level A and E boundaries.\"},{\"question\":\"What additional steps are included for A2 units?\",\"answer\":\"For A2 units, the document notes that intermediate grade boundaries B, C and D are calculated for the unit as a whole, including the grade A* conversion points.\"}]","Grade Boundaries - June 2018 Exams - A-level Unit Grade Boundaries and A* Conversion Points | PDF",1792463955,33]
