boundaries – June 2014 exams \nA-level \nHere you can see the scaled mark unit grade boundaries for A-level AS and A2 units. \nMost A-level units comprise one component so no scaling is necessary: the scaled mark grade boundaries are the same as the raw mark grade boundaries. \nUnits comprising two components \nWhere a unit consists of two components, their marks sometimes need to be scaled before they are aggregated to the overall unit-level. In these instances only the grade A and E scaled boundary marks are shown for each component as only these are set by the awarding committee. These scaled marks are then added to obtain unit-level grade A and E boundaries, at which point the intermediate grade B, Cand D boundary marks are calculated for the unit as a whole (including the grade A* conversion points for A2 units) . Where both unit and component grade boundary marks are reported, the unit is listed first, followed by its components (shaded and italicised) . \nInformation on uniform marks can be found on the Uniform mark scale (UMS) page. \nFor further information, [contact](contact CERP@aqa.org.uk)[ ](contact CERP@aqa.org.uk)[CERP@aqa.org.uk](contact CERP@aqa.org.uk). \nPublished 13 August 2014 \nScaled mark unit grade boundaries-June 2014 exams \nA-level \nMaximum Scaled Mark Grade Boundaries and A* Conversion Points \nCode Title Scaled Mark A* A B C D E \nACCN1 \nACCN2 \nACCN3 \nACCN4 \nANTH1 \nANTH2 \nANTH3 \nANTH4 \nARCH1 \nARCH2 \nARCH3 \nARCH4 \nARTA1 \nARTA2 \nARTA3 \nARTA4 \nARTB1 \nARTB2 \nARTB3 \nARTB4 \nARTC1 \nARTC2 \nACCOUNTING UNIT 1 \nACCOUNTING UNIT 2 \nACCOUNTING UNIT 3 \nACCOUNTING UNIT 4 \nANTHROPOLOGY UNIT 1 \nANTHROPOLOGY UNIT 2 \nANTHROPOLOGY UNIT 3 \nANTHROPOLOGY UNIT 4 \nARCHAEOLOGY UNIT 1 \nARCHAEOLOGY UNIT 2 \nARCHAEOLOGY UNIT 3 \nARCHAEOLOGY UNIT 4 \nART AND DESIGN UNIT 1 \nART AND DESIGN UNIT 2 \nART AND DESIGN UNIT 3 \nART AND DESIGN UNIT 4 \nART AND DESIGN (FINE ART) UNIT 1 \nART AND DESIGN (FINE ART) UNIT 2 \nART AND DESIGN (FINE ART) UNIT 3 \nART AND DESIGN (FINE ART) UNIT 4 \nART AND DESIGN (GRAPHIC COMM) UNIT 1 \nART AND DESIGN (GRAPHIC COMM) UNIT 2 \n80 \n80 \n90 \n90 \n70 \n70 \n90 \n90 \n60 \n90 \n90 \n60 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n- \n- \n83 \n78 \n- \n- \n72 \n68 \n- \n- \n66 \n53 \n- \n- \n77 \n77 \n- \n- \n77 \n77 \n- \n- \n69 \n60 \n77 \n70 \n50 \n51 \n64 \n63 \n42 \n60 \n58 \n48 \n70 \n70 \n74 \n74 \n70 \n70 \n74 \n74 \n70 \n70 \n63 \n53 \n70 \n62 \n44 \n46 \n56 \n58 \n38 \n53 \n50 \n43 \n62 \n62 \n64 \n64 \n62 \n62 \n64 \n64 \n62 \n62 \n57 \n46 \n63 \n54 \n39 \n41 \n49 \n53 \n34 \n47 \n42 \n38 \n54 \n54 \n55 \n55 \n54 \n54 \n55 \n55 \n54 \n54 \n51 \n39 \n56 \n46 \n34 \n36 \n42 \n48 \n30 \n41 \n35 \n33 \n46 \n46 \n46 \n46 \n46 \n46 \n46 \n46 \n46 \n46 \n45 \n33 \n50 \n39 \n29 \n32 \n35 \n43 \n26 \n35 \n28 \n28 \n38 \n38 \n37 \n37 \n38 \n38 \n37 \n37 \n38 \n38 \nScaled mark unit grade boundaries-June 2014 exams \nA-level \nCode \nTitle \nMaximum Scaled Mark \nScaled Mark Grade Boundaries and A* Conversion Points \nA* A B C D E \nARTC3 \nARTC4 \nARTD1 \nARTD2 \nARTD3 \nARTD4 \nARTE1 \nARTE2 \nARTE3 \nARTE4 \nARTF1 \nARTF2 \nARTF3 \nARTF4 \nBENG1 \nBENG2 \nBIOL1 \nBIOL2 \nBIO3T \nBIO3X \nBIOL4 \nBIOL5 \nART AND DESIGN (GRAPHIC COMM) UNIT 3 \nART AND DESIGN (GRAPHIC COMM) UNIT 4 \nART & DESIGN (TEXTILE DESIGN) UNIT 1 \nART & DESIGN (TEXTILE DESIGN) UNIT 2 \nART & DESIGN (TEXTILE DESIGN) UNIT 3 \nART & DESIGN (TEXTILE DESIGN) UNIT 4 \nART AND DESIGN (3D DESIGN) UNIT 1 \nART AND DESIGN (3D DESIGN) UNIT 2 \nART AND DESIGN (3D DESIGN) UNIT 3 \nART AND DESIGN (3D DESIGN) UNIT 4 \nART AND DESIGN (PHOTOGRAPHY) UNIT 1 \nART AND DESIGN (PHOTOGRAPHY) UNIT 2 \nART AND DESIGN (PHOTOGRAPHY) UNIT 3 \nART AND DESIGN (PHOTOGRAPHY) UNIT 4 \nBENGALI UNIT 1 \nBENGALI UNIT 2 \nBIOLOGY UNIT 1 \nBIOLOGY UNIT 2 \nBIOLOGY UNIT 3T \nBIOLOGY UNIT 3X \nBIOLOGY UNIT 4 \nBIOLOGY UNIT 5 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n80 \n100 \n100 \n60 \n85 \n50 \n","cbCaibn8G8bcFNoy","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaibn8G8bcFNoy","pdf",72127,"English","# Grade boundaries - June 2014 exams\n## A-level\n## Units comprising two components\n## Uniform mark scale (UMS)","[{\"question\":\"When is mark scaling necessary for A-level June 2014 exams?\",\"answer\":\"Scaling is needed when a unit consists of two components and their marks must be scaled before being aggregated to the overall unit level.\"},{\"question\":\"Which scaled boundary marks are shown for each component when scaling applies?\",\"answer\":\"Only the grade A and E scaled boundary marks are shown for each component, since these are set by the awarding committee.\"},{\"question\":\"Where can information about uniform marks be found?\",\"answer\":\"Uniform mark information is available on the Uniform mark scale (UMS) page.\"}]","Grade Boundaries - June 2014 Exams - A-level | PDF",1792465546]
