For each set of grade boundaries, the maximum number of available marks is also shown.
GCSE (9-1) qualifications are linear, and only the maximum mark and grade boundaries for the overall qualification are available in this document. These are given in raw marks.
Definition of terms
A grade boundary is the minimum mark at which a numbered grade (between 9 and 1) can be achieved. For example, if the grade boundary for a Grade 6 is 70 marks, then 70 is the minimum mark at which a Grade 6 can be achieved. A mark of 69 would therefore be a Grade 5.
For linear qualifications, all assessments must be taken in the same exam session.
You can find out more about marks at
[https://qualifications.pearson.com/en/support/support-topics/results](https://qualifications.pearson.com/en/support/support-topics/results)
certification/understanding-marks-and-grades.html

| Accounting | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Overall grade boundaries | | Max Mark | 9 | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | U |
| 4AC1 Accounting
Paper(s) 01 02 | Subject | 150 | 125 | 112 | 100 | 84 | 69 | 54 | 40 | 26 | 12 | 0 |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Arabic (First Language) | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Overall grade boundaries | | Max Mark | 9 | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | U |
| 4AA1 Arabic (First Language)
Paper(s) 01 02 | Subject | 125 | 93 | 85 | 77 | 69 | 61 | 53 | 41 | 29 | 17 | 0 |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Bangla | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Overall grade boundaries | | Max Mark | 9 | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | U |
| 4BA0 Bangla Paper(s) 01 | Subject | 100 | 80 | 75 | 70 | 60 | 50 | 41 | 33 | 26 | 19 | 0 |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Biology | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Overall grade boundaries | | Max Mark | 9 | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | U |
| 4BI1 Biology
Paper(s) 1B 2B | Subject | 180 | 130 | 115 | 100 | 86 | 73 | 60 | 50 | 41 | 32 | 0 |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Business | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Overall grade boundaries | | Max Mark | 9 | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | U |
| 4BS1 Business
Paper(s) 01 02 | Subject | 160 | 133 | 122 | 111 | 95 | 79 | 64 | 55 | 46 | 37 | 0 |
| 4BS1 Business
Paper(s) 1C 2C | Subject | 160 | 133 | 122 | 111 | 95 | 79 | 64 | 55 | 46 | 37 | 0 |
| 4BS1 Business
Paper(s) 01 2C | Subject | 160 | 133 | 122 | 111 | 95 | 79 | 64 | 55 | 46 | 37 | 0 |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Chemistry | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Overall grade boundaries | | Max Mark | 9 | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | U |
| 4CH1 Chemistry
Paper(s) 1C 2C | Subject | 180 | 136 | 114 | 92 | 79 | 67 | 55 | 43 | 32 | 21 | 0 |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Chinese | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Overall grade boundaries | | Max Mark | 9 | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | U |
| 4CN1 Chinese
Paper(s) 01 02 03 | Subject | 160 | 145 | 132 | 119 | 110 | 101 | 93 | 73 | 53 | 33 | 0 |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Commerce | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Overall grade boundaries | | Max Mark | 9 | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | U |
| 4CM1 Commerce
Paper(s) 1C 02 | Subject | 160 | 129 | 120 | 111 | 102 | 93 | 85 | 75 | 65 | 56 | 0 |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Economics | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| Overall grade boundaries | | Max Mark | 9 | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | U |
| 4EC1 Economics
Paper(s) 01 02 | Subject | 160 | 117 | 107 | 98 | 90 | 83 | 76 | 64 | 52 | 40 | 0 |
| 4EC1 Economics
Paper(s) 1C 2C | Subject | 160 | 117 | 107 | 98 | 90 | 83 | 76 | 64 | 52 | 40 | 0 |

| English Language A | | | | | ","cbCaijeGENt8Z3LK","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaijeGENt8Z3LK","pdf",55095,"English","# Grade boundaries overview
## Definition of terms
## Overall grade boundaries and maximum marks","[{"question":"How are grade boundaries presented for each subject?","answer":"Each subject includes an overall grade boundaries table listing the maximum available marks and the minimum raw marks required for grades 9 through 1, plus U."}]","Grade Boundaries - Edexcel International GCSE (9-1) - November 2025 | PDF",13]
