guidelinesfor direct recruitment to the teaching faculty posts in the cadre of Assistant Professor inState Universities,as detailed in Annexure-I(for disciplines other than Engineering andTechnology)and Annexure-II(for Engineering and Technology disciplines)appended tothe said orders.  \n02.  In the reference 5th read above,the Secretary,Telangana Council of HigherEducation,Hyderabad,furnished the consolidated net vacancy position of four hundredand twenty-nine(429)posts of Assistant Professor in various State Universities,asreported by the Registrars concerned and approved by their respective Executive Councils.  \n03.  Government,after careful examination of the matter,hereby accord permission forfilling-up of four hundred and twenty-nine(429)vacant posts of Assistant Professor in theState Universities under the administrative control of the Higher Education Department,through Direct Recruitment in the first phase,as detailed in the Annexure appended tothis order.  \n04.
