Gideon summoned men from nearby Israelite tribes to come fight.  \nJudges 6:14, 35  \nBut the Lord did not want them to boast, saying they defeated their enemies by their own strength. So he told Gideon to send home all but 300 soldiers.  \nJudges 7:2-3, 7-8  \nThat night, Gideon divided the 300 men into three groups. He gave each man a trumpet made from a ram’s horn and a clay jar with a torch in it.  \nJudges 7:16  \nGideon said to the men,“Surround the enemy camp. Watch me and do what I do!”  \nJudges 7:17  \nJust after midnight, Gideon and the 100 men with him blew their trumpets and broke their clay jars.
