Then he returned to the Israelite camp and prepared his men to fight against the Midianites.  \nGideon followed God’s directions and divided his 300 men into three equal groups. Then he gave each man a ram’s horn trumpet and a clay jar with a torch in it.  \nThe three groups of Israelites took up positions surrounding the enemy camp.
