There are no other major changes to the content. We have updated the Notes/Examples column, clarifying the depth of teaching and learning required for each \nlearning outcome. \nWe have updated the aims and assessment objectives. The wording has been updated but the meaning is the same. The new syllabus will also include details of how it helps students develop the Cambridge learner attributes – confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. \nWe are using consistent learning objectives where appropriate across our Cambridge Upper Secondary Mathematics syllabuses to support teachers who deliver more than one course within the suite. \nWe have added: \n• a new topic: Geometry of a Circle. \nWe have removed: \n• Indices and Surds, which will be assumed knowledge. \nCambridge IGCSE Mathematics – Additional (0606) \nChanges to assessment \nWe have introduced a non-calculator paper: \nPaper 1 will be a non-calculator paper. Paper 2 will continue to assess calculator skills. \nHow does this affect teaching? \n• The teaching time is not affected by these changes. \n• Learners will need to practise solving problems and showing their working without a calculator. \n• The new topic Geometry of a Circle needs to be included in planning. \n• Make sure students are familiar with working with surds and indices, as these will now be assumed knowledge. \n• Teachers should use the additional guidance in the new Notes/Examples column in the syllabus content. \nWhat support will be available to help teachers deliver the updated course? \n\n| | March 2023 | |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| | | |\n| | Specimen paper answers | |\n\nApril \nEndorsed textbooks to support the revised syllabus \n2023 \n\n| | | | | |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| Scheme of work Classroom teaching materials including a teacher guide | | | | |\n| | | | | |\n| | 2026 after first examination in 2025 | | | |\n| | Early , | | | |\n| Example Candidate Responses | | | | |\n\nJuly \nThese materials will be available through our School Support Hub, which also includes details of endorsed resources for this syllabus, and access to a subject forum. \nResource Plus \nFind high-quality videos, ready-made lesson plans and teaching materials to help you deliver engaging lessons and explain challenging topics to your learners through Resource Plus. \nPreviously available by subscription only, Resource Plus is now available to all Cambridge International Schools at no extra cost through our School Support Hub. \n[Learn more:](Learn more: www.cambridgeinternational.org/0606)[ www.cambridgeinternational.org/0606](Learn more: www.cambridgeinternational.org/0606) \nFirst assessment from 2025 \n*7438897614* \nCambridge IGCSE Mathematics – Additional (0606)","cbCaihqIkfMsmb7D","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaihqIkfMsmb7D","pdf",1241229,"English","# Syllabus overview\n## Changes to content\n## Changes to assessment\n## How this affects teaching\n## Teacher support and available materials","[{\"question\":\"What content changes were made to the 0606 Mathematics – Additional syllabus?\",\"answer\":\"Indices and Surds were removed as assumed knowledge, Geometry of a Circle was added, and Calculus was renamed as Differentiation and Integration.
