Over the past decades, a strong network of cooperation and friendships has emerged between individuals, nongovernmental organizations, and official institutions in both countries. One of the most vibrant fields is the Youth Exchange: Over the past 70 years, more than 700,000 young people from Germany and Israel have participated in exchange programs, school partnerships, and volunteer services. Their engagement has played a crucial role in bringing people and societies of both countries closer together. \nThe current anniversary takes place in challenging times, following the horrific events of October 7, 2023. The attacks by Terrorist Organizations on Israel and the ongoing war have deeply affected many people and communities. In these times, the connecting bonds of hundreds of Youth Exchange Partnerships open up spaces for dialogue, encouragement and resilience. They give hope. \nOn this special anniversary occasion, young people from Israel and Germany are invited to get together, bringing with them prior experience and current engagement in German-Israeli exchange projects. What were experiences of encounters in the past? What are connecting interests in the present? Which perspectives will be relevant for the future? \nThe German-Israeli Youth Congress 2025 will offer room for honoring, debating and creating German-Israeli relations. The Youth Congress will take place in Berlin from May 8–13, 2025. It will host approximately 150 young participants and professionals from both countries. The event is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth of Germany. \nWelcome to the German-Israeli Youth Congress in May 2025! \nTHE PROGRAM \nTHURSDAY, MAY 8, 2025 | Arrival from Israel & Germany \nArrival of the participants from Israel (morning and evening flights) \nArrival of the participants from Germany \nOptional program for Israeli participants with early flights \nDinner at the Hotel \n FRIDAY, MAY 9, 2025 | The Anniversary & Youth Exchange Today \n9.00 am Bus leaves from Hotel to seminar venue \n9.30 am Arrival at seminar venue \n10.00 am Contact-Groups: Getting to Know Please check your name tag for the COLOR \n11.00 am \nCoffee & break \n11.30 am \nOpening of The German-Israeli Youth Congress 2025 \nWelcome by Christine Mähler \nConAct–Coordination Center German-Israeli Youth Exchange \nWelcome by Ariella Gill \nIsrael Youth Exchange Authority \nGreeting by Jana Borkamp \nFederal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth Greeting by H.E.
