Gelac products are not designed to be compatible with other systems. \nStep 1: ibd Gelac Nail Prep \nPerform a manicure \n1. Shape the nail with a 180 grit file. We recommend either the ibd Emerald, Black or White padded files. \n2. Remove cuticle from the nail plate with an ibd Two-Sided Cuticle Pusher. If the client has overgrown cuticles use a Cuticle Eliminator. \n3. Have the client wash their hands with liquid soap and water. Towel Dry. \n4. Remove the shine from the nail plate using a 240 grit white buffing block and remove dust with a nail wipe. Make sure you do not touch the nail with your finger. \n5. Apply ibd Gelac Nail Prep onto the natural nail plate and allow to fully dry before applying base coat. \n(Base, Polish and topcoat steps should be done separately) \nStep 2: ibd Gelac Base Coat Application \n1. Apply very lightly (appearance should have a grainy effect. if your nail is shiny blot lightly with a nail wipe) to each nail and edge of all four nails on one hand. Thumbs are to be done separately. \na. Remove the applicator brush from the bottle and wipe it against the bottle’s neck to remove excess product from the brush. \nb. Stay parallel to the natural nail and lightly dot the base coat in a “Z” pattern onto the nail. \nc. Use a lint-free wipe and wipe the base coat from the cuticle to the free edge to evenly distribute the base coat. \n2. Cure all four fingers together for 1 minute in any ibd UV lamp. \n3. Repeat the process on the other hand. \n4. Repeat the process on each thumb following completion of the previous eight nails. \nStep 3: ibd Gelac UV Gel Polish Application \n1. Roll the bottle between hands to blend. \n2. Apply one very thin coat of color to each nail surface and edge to all nails on one hand.(If applied correctly, this layer will be slightly semi-sheer.) \na. Remove the applicator brush from the bottle and wipe one side against the bottle’s neck to remove excess product from the brush. \nb. Stay parallel to the natural nail and place the brush in the center of the nail slightly away from the cuticle line. \nc. Apply Gelac polish in the center of the nail from cuticle to tip, making sure to keep polish off the cuticle. If polish has touched the cuticle remove prior to curing the nail by using ibd Gelac Gel Cleanser and an orangewood stick. \nd. Make sure polish has covered the tip of the nail to ensure long wear. \n3. Cure all four nails for 2 minutes in any ibd UV Lamp. * \n4. Repeat the process on the other hand. \n5. Apply a second thin coat of polish using the same process. This coat provides full coverage when using an opaque color. \n6. Cure all four nails for 2 minutes in any ibd UV Lamp, and finish with thumb application. \nStep 4: ibd Gelac Top Coat Application \n1. Roll the bottle between hands to blend. \n2. Apply one thin layer of ibd Gelac Top Coat to each nail surface and edge of all four nails on one hand. \na. Remove the applicator brush from the bottle and wipe one side against the bottle’s neck to remove excess product from the brush. \nb. Stay parallel to the natural nail and place the brush in the center of the nail slightly away from the cuticle line. \nc. Apply ibd Gelac Top Coat in the center of the nail starting from cuticle to the tip. \nd. Make sure the top coat has covered the tip of the nail to ensure long wear. \n3. Cure all four nails for 3 minutes in any ibd UV Lamp. \n4. Repeat the process on the other hand and finish with thumb application. \nCleanse: ibd Gelac Gel Cleanser \n5. Saturate an ibd Nail Wipe with ibd Gelac Gel Cleanser. \n6. With light pressure wipe away the top gel film, (this is the sticky inhibition layer) . CAUTION: Do not re-wipe the nail with a used portion of the Nail Wipe, as it will re-distribute the film causing dulling to the top coat. \n7.
