It clarifies why Triple Science is valuable for A-level and degree-level science pathways, including broader topics beyond Combined Science. The material outlines required strengths such as mathematical ability, clear communication, analytical evaluation, and responsiveness to feedback. Assessment details cover two 1 hour 45 minute exams per subject, the total mark structure, practical task weighting, and the AQA exam board.","GCSE Triple Science \n[Contact: Mr O Restall -](Contact: Mr O Restall -o. restall@honley.tlt.school)[o. restall@honley.tlt.school](Contact: Mr O Restall -o. restall@honley.tlt.school) \nPlease note that Triple Science is only available for students who have been recommended by their subject teacher. If you have not received a letter regarding this and feel you should have, please contact Mr \n Restall. \nWhy should I study Triple Science? \nYou should study Triple Science if you are considering taking one or more Science subjects at A-level. Although not a prerequisite, having a deeper and more far-reaching understanding will make it easier for you to be successful at this stage. \nIf you are considering studying Science at degree level or pursuing a Scientific career, many Russell Group universities prefer students to have taken Triple Science for their Science based degrees. You will study the content listed on the Combined Science page, plus a variety of additional topics such as Space, Monoclonal Antibodies, Microbiology, working with Moles, Titration and Analytical and Instrumental Methods. \nIs this the right subject for me? \nYou should be passionate about Science and have a genuine interest inscientific phenomena. You will need to be dedicated and hardworking, and realise that success in Triple Science is earned. \nKey strengths required for studying this subject: \nMathematical skills are an absolute asset as is the ability to communicate ideas effectively. Analytical skills such as evaluation are vital. On top of this, you should be able to take feedback and look to improve your work at every opportunity. \nAssessment Methods: \nTwo exams per subject ( Biology, Chemistry and Physics), each 1 hour and 45 minutes and worth 100 marks (600 total) . Of the fi nal mark, 20%-40% is based on mathematics skills, depending on the specialism and 20% upon the required practical tasks that students complete throughout the course. \nExam Board: AQA \nFurther information about the exam specifications can be found here: \nGCSE Biology Specification ([aqa.org. uk](aqa.org. uk)) \nGCSE Chemistry Specification ([aqa.org. uk](aqa.org. uk)) \nGCSE Physics Specification ([aqa.org. uk](aqa.org. uk))","cbCaiiP8yGawjEfH","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiiP8yGawjEfH","pdf",37051,1,"English","en",105,"# Why study Triple Science?\n## Who is it for?\n## Key strengths required\n## Assessment methods\n## Exam board and further specifications","[{\"question\":\"Who can study GCSE Triple Science?\",\"answer\":\"Triple Science is available only to students recommended by their subject teacher.
