Urban issues and challenges – increasing population growth, urbanisation and sustainable urban living  \n2. The changing economic world – development indicators, the global development gap and the role of transnational companies.  \n3. The challenge of resource management – investigation into global management of food, water and energy  \nYou will develop your understanding of HICs (high income countries) and LICs (low income countries) and the increasing development gap between them. Then investigate how sustainable management may be able to solve these problems.  \nExam Paper Three – Geographical Applications  \nIn this paper you are able to develop a range of geographical skills (including map, graphical, numerical and statistical skills) . A range of these will be practised in two, one day fieldtrips, one human and one physical.  \n1. Issue evaluation – This is a decision-making exercise where you consider physical and human interrelationships and give your proposed solutions on their likely impact on both people and the physical environment.  \n2.
