The syllabus covers 'Life in Modern Britain,' 'Rights and Responsibilities,' 'Citizenship in Action' (a critical investigation into a citizenship issue with a focus on community benefit or societal change), and 'Politics and Participation.' Assessment consists of two 1 hour 45 minute written exams at the end of Year 11, each contributing 50% to the total mark. Paper 1 focuses on 'Citizenship in Action' and 'Politics and Participation,' while Paper 2 covers 'Life in Modern Britain' and 'Rights and Responsibilities.'
