The customer has requested gas at line pressure of 70 barg. As such, the maximum operating pressure for both the inlet and outlet of this AGI is 70 barg, and the associated minimum operating pressure is 50 barg. The AGI will have a design pressure of 85 barg. \nThe customer development is permitted under Planning Ref. SDCC Reg. Ref. SD20A/0058, amended by Reg. Ref. SD25A/0135W relating to the Power Plant development and including the AGI, and SDCC Reg. Ref. SD20A/0324 for the ICT Facilities. \nThe summary of pipeline works required is as follows: \nGas to Milltown Pipeline: \n• The new ca. 1.175km long, 400mm diameter, 85 barg Gas to Milltown Pipeline will connect to the recently consented Gas to Microsoft, Grange Castle Pipeline 1 & 2 at the Ballybane offtake. \n• The Pipeline will travel west and enter the Old Nangor Road, followed by private South Dublin County Council lands. \n• The proposed route includes a trenchless crossing under the Griffeen River. \n• It then travels west across Peamount Road and terminates in the Customer facility in Milltown. \n• Civil works to construct the pipeline including excavation, backfill and reinstatement. \n• Testing and commissioning of the new pipeline. \nFigure 1 Proposed Gas to Milltown pipeline (shown in Blue) \n1.1 Purpose of Document \nThe purpose of the document is to: \n• Outline the scope and basis of the design review. \n• Carry out a technical compliance assessment to IS 328:2021 . \n• Review GNI section 39A application for 1.175km long, 400mm diameter, 85 barg Gas to Milltown Pipeline \n• Provide recommendations regarding technical conditions that should be implemented as the result of a consent being granted. \n1.2 Abbreviations \nIS 328:2021 IS328:2021 Gas transmission pipelines and pipeline installations BPD Building Proximity Distance \nCRU Commission For Regulation of Utilities \nGNI Gas Networks Ireland \nIS Irish standard \nSMYS Specified Minimum Yield Strength \nAGI Above Ground Installation \nPE Polyethylene \nSCMH Standard Cubic Meter per Hour \n2 Basis of Design Review \n2.1 Documents Received/Design Codes Considered \nIS 328:2021 \nGas to Milltown Cover Letter \nGas to Milltown Section 39A Consent Application \nAppendix A Drawings\\Appendix A 1587-DG-PLG-00013-01 New Nangor Road R134 RDX Plan and Longitudinal Section \nAppendix A Drawings\\Appendix A 1587-DG-PLG-00014-01 Baldonnell Stream Crossing Plan and Longitudinal Section \nAppendix A Drawings\\Appendix A 1587-DG-PLG-0001-01 Site Location Map \nAppendix A Drawings\\Appendix A 1587-DG-PLG-00011-01 Griffeen River Crossing Plan and Longitudial Section \nAppendix A Drawings\\Appendix A 1587-DG-PLG-0002-01 Pipeline Route Index Map \nAppendix A","cbCaiiRfxZ87uzK0","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiiRfxZ87uzK0","pdf",704849,15,"English","# Introduction\n## Purpose of Document\n## Abbreviations\n# Basis of Design Review\n## Documents Received/Design Codes Considered\n## Clarification documents received\n## Assumptions\n# Basic technical compliance assessment to IS 328:2021\n# Conclusion and Recommendations\n## Conclusion\n## Recommendations\n# Appendix A Technical Clarifications","[{\"question\":\"What is the purpose of the Section 39A technical compliance document?\",\"answer\":\"It outlines the scope and basis of the design review, performs a technical compliance assessment to IS 328:2021, reviews the CRU/GNI Section 39A application for the pipeline, and provides recommendations for technical conditions if consent is granted.\"},{\"question\":\"What are the key design and operating pressure parameters described for the AGI and pipeline?\",\"answer\":\"The maximum operating pressure for the AGI inlet and outlet is 70 barg, with minimum operating pressure of 50 barg, and the AGI design pressure is stated as 85 barg.\"},{\"question\":\"Which main standard is used for the technical compliance assessment?\",\"answer\":\"The document assesses basic technical compliance to IS 328:2021 for gas transmission pipelines and pipeline installations.\"}]","Gas to Milltown Pipeline - Section 39A Application Technical Compliance - April 2026 - CRU | PDF",38]
