All students enrolled in Algebra 1, Algebra 1 Honors or equivalent course must take and pass the Algebra 1 EOC. Passing the FSA Algebra 1 EOC is accomplished by earning a level 3 or higher on the FSA Algebra 1 EOC. The FSA Algebra 1 EOC is 30% of the student’s final grade. Earning credit in Algebra 1 can be done two ways: passing the FSA Algebra 1 EOC or passing the course once the FSA Algebra 1 EOC has been included as 30% of the final grade. Below is a table showing the Achievement Level and the Assessment Scale scores. \n\n| FSA Algebra 1 EOC Assessment Scale Scores (425-575) | | | | |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 | Level 4 | Level 5 |\n| 425-486 | 487-496 | 497-517 | 518-531 | 532-575 |\n\nAll information regarding the FSA Algebra 1 EOC can be found on the FSA Portal: [www.fsassessments.org](www.fsassessments.org). \nThe FSA Algebra 1 EOC is administered on the computer (Computer-Based Test or CBT) over two days. Each day is a 90 – minute session. The first session is a non – calculator session and the second session is a calculator – permitted session. There is a total of 64 – 68 items on the FSA Algebra 1 EOC, about 32 – 34 items per session. Students who are not finished after 90 minutes may continue working on the test, but must be completed within half of a school day. \nGraduation requirements: \nStudents must earn a credit in Algebra 1 and pass the FSA Algebra 1 End – of – Course Assessment or a comparative score to fulfill their graduation requirement. \nFor more information see Graduation Requirements for Florida’s Statewide Assessments. \nFSA calculator and reference sheet: \nDuring the calculator – permitted session, students will have access to an online scientific calculator. The calculator can be found at: \n[https://demo.tds.cambiumast.com/DesmosForAssessments/TDSCalculator.html?mode=fl_scirestricted](https://demo.tds.cambiumast.com/DesmosForAssessments/TDSCalculator.html?mode=fl_scirestricted). Students may use a hand-held calculator provided it meets the functionalities put forth by the State. Below are some models that have been approved by FLDOE. \n\n| Texas Instruments\u003Cbr>TI – 30Xa | Casio\u003Cbr>FX – 260 Solar | Casio\u003Cbr>FX-82 Solar | Sharp\u003Cbr>EL – 510R | Sharp\u003Cbr>EL – 510 RN |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |\n\nThe FSA Algebra 1 EOC reference sheet can be found at: \n[https://fsassessments.org/core/fi](https://fsassessments.org/core/fi)leparse. php/3031/urlt/FSAMathematics_Reference_Sheet_Packet_2020- 2021.pdf \nTest breakdown: \nThe FSA Algebra 1 EOC has three reporting categories that are weighted differently. The weighting of the categories is seen in the table below. \n\n| Category | Percentage |\n| --- | --- |\n| Algebra and Modeling | 41 |\n| Functions and Modeling | 40 |\n| Statistics and the Number System | 19 |\n\nThe Test Item Specifications can be found at the following link: \n[https://fsassessments.org/core/fi](https://fsassessments.org/core/fi)leparse. php/3031/urlt/Algebra-1_Item-Specifications_January-2020_508. pdf \nResources that may be used to prepare for the FSA Algebra 1 EOC \nFSA Practice Tests: While the practice tests provided are aligned to content standards, the primary purpose of the practice test is to provide opportunities for students to use the tools that will be used when answering the variety of question types on the CBT. Students can access and take the tests as often as they like, but the questions will not change. \n[https://login8.cloud1.tds.airast.org/student/V485/Pages/LoginShell.aspx?c=Florida_PT](https://login8.cloud1.tds.airast.org/student/V485/Pages/LoginShell.aspx?c=Florida_PT) (Use Chrome or Firefox) \nComputer-based Practice Test Answer Key \n[https://fsassessments.org/core/fi](https://fsassessments.org/core/fi)leparse. php/3031/urlt/FSA_2020_ALG1_M","cbCain6z7kVPkG9q","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCain6z7kVPkG9q","pdf",295608,"English","# General Information\n# Test Administration and Scoring\n## Achievement Levels and Assessment Scale Scores\n# Graduation Requirements\n# Calculator and Reference Sheet\n## Approved Calculators\n## Online Reference Sheet\n# Test Breakdown\n## Reporting Categories and Weights\n# Preparation Resources\n## FSA Practice Tests\n## PARCC Practice Tests\n## Khan Academy Core\n## Math Nation\n## Additional District Resources","[{\"question\":\"Who must take the Florida Algebra 1 EOC and how do students pass?\",\"answer\":\"All students enrolled in Algebra 1, Algebra 1 Honors, or equivalent courses must take and pass the Algebra 1 EOC.
