be abandoned,and channels of cooperation had to befound if peaceful coexistence was to be-come a reality.  \nDuring the course of those two visitsbetween leaders of our respective coun-tries,a number of important agreementswere reached.  \nWe reached an understanding on thedirection of our future relations.We de-clared a mutual desire to find the meansfor peace,not only between ourselves,butamong all nations of the world.Wereached agreement to prevent the use ofnuclear weapons.  \n# Improving Relations\n\nWe have made some joint progress onthe international scene.On Europe,weagreed to seek firmer security arrangements.We talked also of armaments andarmed forces deployed in Central Europe.Other aspects of the European situationcontinue under discussion.  \nIn Asia there has been great improve-ment,first and foremost because the hos-tilities in Indo-China have been terminat-ed.There is every reason now to moveforward toward some kind of collectivesecurity system in Asia.This would
