While I have a colourful board that we use at school you can have some fun with this game at home! This allows for vocabulary practice and addition practice! \nWhat you need: \n● 20 pieces of paper cut into square with the numbers 1-20 written on them \n● 20 pieces of paper cut into slightly smaller squares so they can be hidden under the first set with points written on at least half of them and zut, za, zou written amongst the other half \n● White board or piece of paper to keep track of points \n● Vocabulary/ verb list Setup: \n1. Write numbers 1-20 on your bigger squares \n2. Mark your smaller squares with points from 10-1000 be sure to have zut za zou written on these cards at least once \n3. Set up your game board by placing the smaller cards down first \n4. Cover these cards with the larger number cards \n5. Make your teams – you can play against your child, or have your children play against you \n● If your children are playing against each other whoever answers first wins and gets to pick the number \n● If you are playing against your child then they answer, if they get it right they get to pick a number, but, if they get it wrong you get to pick a number! \n6. ZUT!-LOSE ALL YOUR POINTS ZA!– DOUBLE YOUR POINTS \nZOU!– SWAP POINTS WITH YOUR OPPONENT Game play: \nOnce teams are made game play is quite simple! \n1. Pick a vocabulary list from below \n2. Ask your child(ren) to tell you the vocab word from English – French or French-English ( for the older kids try having them put it in a sentence or have them conjugate verbs) \n3. If they are right, they get to pick a number IN FRENCH REMINDER: \n● If your children are playing against each other whoever answers first wins and gets to pick the number \n● If you are playing against your child then they answer, if they get it right they get to pick a number, but, if they get it wrong you get to pick a number! \n4. Have them keep track of their points on a piece of paper or white board: \n** be sure to let them do the adding! The points you choose to use can reflect the addition you want them todo! The more complicated the points, the harder the adding! \nFor example – younger kids use numbers like 100, 1000, 20 and older kids throw in 150, 198, 1560. \n5. Continue this process until all the cards have been flipped! \nYou can also move to spelling out the words on a white board or giving them the French word and having them draw a picture of it! \nHAVE FUN WITH IT!! \nWebsites with Vocab lists: \n[https://www.linguasorb.com/french/vocabulary/](https://www.linguasorb.com/french/vocabulary/) \n[https://french.kwiziq.com/learn/theme](https://french.kwiziq.com/learn/theme) \nVerbs: \n[https://www.linguasorb.com/french/verbs/most-common-verbs/](https://www.linguasorb.com/french/verbs/most-common-verbs/) \n[Frappe le mot:](Frappe le mot:) \nAnother fun game is frappe le mot! \nThis is where you write a bunch of French words on a paper and have your child hit the word! Have fun with it and have them use a fly swatter or ruler to hit the word! \nDix or vingt: \nThis is a fun game for the whole family! \nTaking turns you count from 1-10 or 1-20 in French ( you are allowed to say up to 3 numbers) The person whois forced to say dix or vingt is out! \nYoutube video to refresh 1-10: \n[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woqBQG7LG8s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woqBQG7LG8s) \n[Youtube video to refresh 1-20:](Youtube video to refresh 1-20:) \n[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhj9SqrIZqI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhj9SqrIZqI) \nPomplemousse: \nIs another fun counting game! In this game you replace every 3 rd or 5th number with pomplemousse. For example, \nUn, deux, pomplesmousse, quatre, cinq, pomplemousse Etc. \nWhoever forgets the number or does not say pomplemousse is out, keep playing until one person left standing \n« Mon petit il voit quelque chose ","cbCaipXmbbMyvUOl","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaipXmbbMyvUOl","pdf",75497,"English","# Zut Za Zou!
